How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

I know Barbos in his heart of hearts would rather be over here in the good old USA instead of Russia,.

10,000 or more North Korean troops probably in Russia to stay. They will marry Russian women and settle in Russia.

Diversity comes to Russia.
Nah. Just a breeding program for the next crop of cannon fodder. Gotta have some minorities to fill the role.

Is Babs in Putinstan or somewhere else? What has he experienced in his life? That's why I say we should be sensitive, not burn bridges.

Friends grew up behind the Iron Curtain and came to the U.S. to stay in their teens. They said life in Eastern Europe was not fun living under the Russian thumb. They regularly drilled with makeshift weapons so to one day fight the western invaders. Their parents told them it's better in the west and that they have to just endure the propaganda, that it's all lies. They would listen to western radio and music but only at their peril less they end up in a gulag. Maybe Babbles really wants to get out of such a shithole but can't. Then again maybe he's a paid propagandist. That's certainly my conclusion. And if he 's not a paid propagandist maybe he's like my friends just playing it safe, hoping for a better life. We don't know.

It is all part of the pan for North Korea and China to control Russia.

First Russia is made dependent on China and North Korea for supplies.

Then North Korea sends troops to Russia knowing the incompetence of the Russian militarily and l;readership.

Eventfully Russia and Putin become a puppet of China.

Brilliant Chinese strategy .

He has said he lives in Siberia. I believe he still has relatively unfettered internet access, can have anonymous online accounts, and there are still VPNs available. I don't think the Russian government has been able to shut these last two down completely. Though I've largely stopped reading his posts after the first year of the war as I found some of his comments absolutely abhorrent, I've never read nothing that would indicate there is someone there that wants to embrace the truth. He believes what he says. After all Russia has done to Ukraine's civilian population and Barbos' comments about Ukrainian people, why anyone would still give him the benefit of the doubt is beyond me.

I don't give a shit about Barbos and Russians, I was being sarcastic.

He said he has a PHD in physics, went to school over here, was teaching in Russia and got forced out for some reason.

He said in a post he prefers the American system to Russia

From pronghorn over the last few days Russia is making a very serious attempt to sow divisions and influence the election. Fake videos showing somebody allegedly tearing up for Trump mail in ballots.

It was reprted and Trump acknowledged ongoing communications with Putin since he left office. Trump refuses to support the independence of Ukraine and says he will end the war within a week.

Hard to not connect the dots. Putin wants an isolationist Trump in office. Trump probably believes he has a real personal relationship with Putin, who is expertly playing Trump. That or Putin has something on Trump.

Russia is our enemy, there is no other way to put it. Whether Barbos is part of the organized Russian effort to undermine our system or he is just a Russian citizen as we are American citizens is irrelevant. As a vocal supporter of Putin, his war, and a purveyor of fake news and conspiracy theories Barbos is without equivocation my enemy.

Why is Russia hunting civilians with drones??
They don't.

Meanwhile NYT now says: "It is no longer stalemate in Ukraine and we were wrong when we predicted successful summer offensive for Ukraine, but trust as now when we say the next tear Ukraine will win"

NYT also admits that main problem for Regime in Kiev is man power, not weapons. But Russia has it worse, yeah right.
According to NYT Ukraine lost 50K people and Russia twice ot that.
Well, if you believe ukro-regime.

How may times one has to tell you that USSR has been gone for 35 years, People who are younger than 40 don't remember any of the BS you keep yapping about. Put it in your 65+ year old brain that Russia is nothing like you think it is.

In other news, Western officials finally noticed that Elensky's english is not good and told him to start using interpreters.
Imagine that. After two years they finally started to suspect that the dopehead does not understand what they are saying.
Elensky's english is pretty bad and Ermak's reportedly is way worse but both insist on not using interpreters.

And we keep telling Barbs Putin is a continuation of Stalinism and the USSR,. Putin said way back he thought the greatest tragedy of the last century was the Soviet collapse.

1. A police state.
2. Suppression of free speech and press.
3. State controlled news media.
4.Military force to coerce state to align with Russia..

The only difference is the economy, no more collectivization.

So what? We have a free press that expresses many different views, not just what the government says to say. You still don't have a clue what free speech and press in the west means.

Like a dog that grows up in a cage. When the door is left open the dog has no idea what freedom to roam and bark as it pleases means.

The difference between Russia and the western liberal democracies are

1. Freedom of speech,
2. Freedom of the press.
3. The right to assemble.
4. Rule of law, independent judiciary
5. Free enterprise, business free from government coercion .
6. Free elections.
7. International rule of law.

We do not make war with our two neighbors. We have mutually beneficial trade agreements. We do not interfere in Canadian and Mexican politics.

NAFTA
The North American Free Trade Agreement was in effect from 1994 to 2020. It was a controversial trade pact that eliminated most tariffs and trade barriers between the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
USMCA
The USMCA is a free trade agreement that largely maintains or updates the provisions of NAFTA. It's sometimes called "NAFTA 2.0" or "New NAFTA". The USMCA includes new provisions on digital trade, cross-border data flows, and State-Owned Enterprises.

The USMCA will be reviewed in 2026, when the parties will decide whether to extend the agreement for another 16 years.

Putin could have negotiated a trade agreement with Ukraine. Instead he chose war. The old Soviet Stalin to Putin strategy.

You will have to be specific about what you men by propaganda. If you mean your nonsense about NATO starting the war you have not proven any of your conspiracy theories.

As I said before people express themselves with their feet.

Even before the war few wanted to move to Russia. The EU and USA have a problem with too many people wanting to immigrate.

Why? Because of the list at the top. Meanwhile Russia;s population is ddeclini9ng accelerated by the war. Thousands of NK troops in Russia trying to push Ukraine out of the Russian land they occupied.

Humiating for Putin. Unofrtnatly we have no reporting from Russia on what Russians think.

The mighty Russia and Putin havng to bargain with NK and China for supplies and troops to fight his ill gotten war.

All Russia has left is conspircay theories and blamng others for Putin's failures.

not just what the government says to say. You still don't have a clue what free speech and press in the west means.

That is the 1st time you have ever admitted we are better than your mob at something. Thank you.
