Putin is a Shakespearean tragedy. His flawed personalty put him in a no wind scenario with no way out. All he can do is hang on by any way he can until he is overthrown or dies.
Living in fear of losing power.
I imagine the p[resume he feels is ginormous. Sleepless nights, outbursts of rage at those around him. A constant stream of hate speech and imaginary conspiracy theories. It must take a toll. All those constant stress hormones in the blood affect reasoning, and affecting brain and heart health.

A consequence of a militray dictatorship that emphasizes making bullets instead of bread.

More about elections in Moldova.
In Moldova itself 54% voted against joining EU and 45% for.
What gave 51% win for EU were 180K votes from moldovans living in the west.
500K moldovans living in Russia were effectively banned from voting. There was only 10K bulletins printed and number of places for voting were limited to only 2,compared to hundreds in the west. Sandu even complained about russians helping moldovans to take part in the elections.

The Supreme Court said vaguely that a president is immune from prosecutiojn for acting in a government capacity.
He can not arbitrarily arrest Biden or anyone, in the manner of Putin's legal system. Any such attempts would end up in the courts.
In the election fraud cases all the courts even Trump;s federal appointees ruled against Trump;'s claims the election was stolen or interfered with.
The rule of law is deeply ingrained in our culture. It would take a lot more than Trump to overcome that to an great extent.
If Trump pushes the Suoerm Cort ruling it will end up back in the Supreme Court.
