Has anyone here watched the Netflix series called Travelers? There's an episode in the third season that features eyeballs...

Travelers come from the future with technology that can zap their consciousness into a living person in the past. They have a bunch of ethical rules about interfering with people's lives, so they only choose people that they know for sure are about to die at a particular time and place through archived news and such, then they pop into the person seconds orminutes before they die and save their lives. A bus accident? Driver gets zapped a few minutes ahead and swerves just in time. Then all the people who would have died one minute later are all zapped and you now have a bus full of Travelers in the bodies of a dozen senior citizens or whatever.

Spoiler:
One man died when he swerved to avoid another vehicle and dropped his cigarette which caught his truck on fire and died because he panicked trying to get out. They zapped a Travler into his consciousness just before the swerve and so the Traveler could go on to live that guy's life but to fulfill a mission from the future. After the zap, the Traveler knew how to avoid the death and was able to get out of the truck. Some people came over to make sure he was ok. He then threw up an eyeball in the middle of the road.

That traveler had an especially crucial and urgent mission, but had a lot of trouble accomplishing it because he was arrested and they found he did a bunch of murders and ate the victims' faces. But other travelers, one in the FBI, helped him complete his mission before going on to serve the previous man's prison time. So all the Travelers future and present were like, well, shit.

Another episode I found especially interesting and exciting was S2 E7, "17 Minutes." Too much to tell so just go watch it. It's a good series. It gets a slight bit melodramatically Dr. Evil-ish at one point, but mostly riveting story and cool ideas about technology and time travel.
