You don't see those much anymore. In fact, I don't think I've seen a single one in the last 20 years, and its not from a lack of peeing. Maybe urine is not as stinky as it was in the old days? I do miss the target practice though, now that I think about it.

Having received this email today, I now have proof that retirement is a job. And since no one is hiring, I may file for unemployment.

Last year 4th of July, Wonder was just weeks old, and slept right through the fireworks.
The town fireworks have gotten pretty extravagant, and we can see them from our house at 4+ miles distant. There is also development much closer, and with that came Texans and other loud-shit-loving idiots.
Wonder started to get a little worked up this year, barking etc, so I brought her in and played with her until after the "grand finale", ignoring the occasional closer booms as well as the fairly loud percussive rumble of the town fireworks. She basically decided it was no big deal, which is what I was hoping.
