So you're telling me you actually have a problem with people who ride horses for fun?
That you think people should never do anything dangerous but literally be content enjoying themselves with nothing tougher than foam or more sold than a light beam?
This is too silly to be true. I guess until you tell me otherwise, I'm considering your post a joke. I hope you don't tell me otherwise...
Yes. Because some people have a ridiculous fetish with being reckless fucking idiots, and making themselves into weapons in the context of every day life doesn't mean that I or any of the other sane people should put up with such bullshit.
I, and for that matter most of the rest of the world can have a perfectly good, balanced, and fulfilled life without playing with guns, bows, and et cetera. People break. Even the healthy ones. Allowing a world where we let those people become DANGEROUS before that happens is foolhardy. We all have dangerous, insane parts of ourselves that we don't like, and that we keep bottled up and far from the light of day, and because we are barely smarter than apes, and much more controlled by our flawed feelings than any of us is likely to admit. That means that being a weapon in the context of every day life is pretty much the most irresponsible thing you can do.
You call it silly that I want people to stop playing games with dangerous tools. I call it dangerous and deranged to want me to trust someone ignorant enough to disregard his fellow man and his own human shortcomings enough to play with a weapon.
We have things suitable for play. They are called TOYS. Go buy and play with those instead if you want to play.
