The only thing that made Cohen flip was all the evidence that the FBI amassed from their raids. The father's advice suddenly made much more sense than it had in the past, and it is a transparent ploy to gain public sympathy.

You think he is still hiding dirt on Trump? Maybe the FBI already has everything they want from him. No deal needed.
I'm pretty sure Mueller has everything he would need to sink Trump, but there are other individuals and every time they turn over another rock, there's another Russia-connected mobster. His mandate is not "go get that orange fascist", it's "go find out what Russia did, how they did it and if any crimes were committed in the process".
That could take until the 2020 elections.

Hey, 1,300,000 pieces of evidence could tell my whole life story in excruciating detail, with a few hundred thousand pieces left over. And Cohen is fairly useless as a corroborating witness, thanks to his client's efforts (and his own stupidity). So I guess you're right.

I have no doubt there's plenty of interest in what Cohen knows about Trump's activities at the state level. State Attorneys of New York and New Jersey are probably fighting over who gets first crack at it.
I wonder if Mueller is building a RICO case against the Trump organization as he goes about investigating the Russian connections to Trump himself.

I don't think he has the time or manpower to chase that down, but he may be making multiple copies of everything he has. Upon completion of the investigation [or upon top-down cessation], the blue folder goes to the FBI, the green folder to the SEC, the red filing cabinet to the IRS...

Of course, the people who need to know this can't be influenced by facts, but we already have enough facts to conclude that Trump has betrayed America and is a Russian asset.
Despite this, the "liberal" media pretends this is still an open question, the Democratic leadership is still not pushing for impeachment, and the Republican politicians are doing everything possible to interfere with the investigation.
How much proof do we need to establish that Trump is a Russian asset, working against the interests of America, and unfit to hold the office of president? Just based on what we already know (see above link), there is more than enough to conclude that, and there has been for some time.

We can't do this like what happened with Nixon. Whether or not he resigns, no pardons. He has to be tried and convicted and punished.
As someone from Illinois, I know what I'm saying when it comes to this. You have to put a lot of chief executives in prison before they start to believe that the law applies to them. Not only does Trump have to go to prison, we really should go back and try Bush II and be prepared to put many more in prison. The law has to apply to chief executives as much as anyone else.
