Hey! That's my schtick!

But you're welcome to use it :D

This one made me think of Keith.

Why is that being an asshole? I thought we were supposed to be moving to a society where any gender can use any bathroom they feel like. Xir opening the door should not be embarrassed for entering the bathroom and the xir inside should not be angry or embarassed*.

* I hope I got my use of xir right. I'm kinda new to this stuff.

We all know who feels threatened by the idea of accidentally walking into a women's room, and it's not "xir." ;)

xe = he or she, xis = his or hers, xim = him or her. x's pronounced zh according to exactly one author. I think they should be pronounced 'h' so homophonic with he, his, and him.

Oh, so the joke went over your head?
The assholery comes from the implication that the child asked xis parental unit to take them to a place that promotes gender discrimination solely for the opportunity to conduct a joke in order express xis outrage over how society may be changing, in ways that make xim uncomfortable, without xis permission.
Of course, adopting such a stance publically just identifies the childish protester as a butthurt little shit, who places politics at a higher priority than swimming, despite the obvious purpose of the venue.

I don't think the joke went over my head. I look at it like this:

Suppose Ziprhead posted an identical picture from the 1950's except that the kid switched the "whites only" and "colored" signs on the swimming pool locker rooms. Would we snicker, and say, "Har, har...good one, that little kid is such a little prankster asshole". No...we would say, "That's not funny. Hard to believe we lived in such hateful times. Sad. Glad we're past that kind of blatant bigotry." Its the same thing now. In just a few years, when we've become fully enlightened and locker rooms aren't separated by gender we will all cringe looking back at Ziprhead's image and say, "That's not funny. Hard to believe we lived in such hateful times. Sad. Glad we're past that kind of blatant bigotry."

My Answer: No, "The government" should not be paying for the health care of racists and open white nationalists. 'We the people' should be paying for the health care of racists and open white nationalists.

(The U.S. Government is just the logical middleman, with massive price negotiation power and no profit-margin skimming.)

It seems that many racists and open white nationalists are angry and bitter because they are in such pain and discomfort from untreated medical illnesses and injuries brought on by cost-cutting corporations skirting worker-health regulations, by opioid dependency and by substance abuse. Simply put, they need help, just like all of us do at some point.

Or we could just continue to fester hate and resentment, see if that helps anything.

then, clearly, my post went over your head.

Well, OK maybe it did then. I guess I got all confused with that super long sentence containing all the xis and xim stuff. I need to brush up on that so I can stay current. Is there like a Tumbler website on all that so I can get up to speed?

Nope. Empathy can't be learned from Tumbler. Maybe go back to your mom.

But here's a hint. Empathy takes a lot less effort than trying so hard to justify insecure, moronic bigotry.
