How stupid. You don't have to believe in Jesus to agree with *some* of the things attributed to him in the Bible, such as compassion for the poor. An atheist pointing out the hypocrisy of Christians is not itself hypocrisy. Even when we challenge the religious on their inability to follow even the tenets we do disagree with is not hypocrisy. It's just challenging the hypocrisy of the religious.

I don't think the people who make such stupid arguments actually put any thought into them. But then, we already know that the religious tend to grab onto anything that appeals to their prejudices even if it's fundamentally false or illogical as long as it sounds truthy or sciency, and conveniently not requiring much in the way of intellectual honesty. So not surprising.
