RNC in Cleveland - Are you ready to rock!

Trump supporters frighten me into thinking the nation may not be able to recover from a Trump presidency and the political galvanizing of the uber-reich wing.
It is frightening. We had this kind of extreme division in 1940. It took the nightmare of World War II to snap us out of it. I don't know what it will take this time. In some ways we are channeling many of the same behaviors that were present at that time. I recently read Those Angry Days by Lynne Olsen and was struck by the similarities of the political situation of then and now.

So after three days, what are we talking about from this convention? Trump's wife copying the First Lady's speech (of whom she admires) and Cruz not endorsing Trump.

Yup, this convention isn't going too well.

And reading Electoral-Vote.com, the explanation of the Melania's speech may have admitted an election financing law was broken.

I don't know....I haven't heard too many stupid things The Donald has said lately and I caught a snippet of the convention on the news last night: Pence was speaking. He seemed to be a very competent political speaker. That had me a little worried.

Trump can't win without convincing the people who don't pay attention to politics to vote for him. At this point, all that has been said is that Clinton is evil. Additionally, the news is concentrating on minor things like Trump's campaign breaking election finance laws by having a Trump company person work on a speech without being paid specifically by the campaign and Cruz not endorsing Trump. These articles are all that really matter as those who don't pay attention to politics don't care to watch any of this stuff.

You forgot to mention that Queen didn't authorize the use of their song...

Oi! Again!? The Republican Party is going to be running out of music they can use that isn't country. Too bad they didn't try Born in the USA when presented Trump's wife. Of course, that song was probably banned by Springsteen a long time ago!

Meanwhile,
article said:
Third Eye Blind taunted Republicans Tuesday night in a charity concert at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland during the party's convention, and a frustrated audience responded with persistent boos.

...

The band bashed the Republican platform, asking the crowd, "Who here believes in science?" And lead singer Stephan Jenkins spoke out in support of LGBT rights before performing one of their greatest hits, "Jumper."
Oops. Reminds me of Stewie playing at Woodstock on Family Guy. Seriously, stay away from rock music if it isn't Ted Nugent if you are holding a right wing event!
