Yeah, he will be Trumps Commissar on Islamic Investigations. During his speech I kept visualizing an American Muslim family standing in front of his desk while he scrutinizes their surveillance papers.
The General was something to behold as well. He will certainly be Trumps Secretary of Defense.
The crowd resembled a lynch mob.
This shit is pretty scary.
It really is. I've been plenty disgusted with GOP nominees in the past, but I've never been actually scared of one until now.
In the 2000 election, I saw Dubbya as a goofball, but he didn't scare me. Even in 2004, by which time he'd done an excellent job of earning my hatred, I was far more disturbed by the fact that he got re-elected than anything else he was going to do. But still, I didn't see our form of government utterly collapsing. Then Obama got elected and I felt relieved that the nation had chosen to go in exact opposite direction we'd been going.
But in these last 8 years---yeah, it's really been building since the rise of Limbaugh and his fucking ilk--but the politics lacking any vision other than an outward manifestation of the destruction of Not Us has truly come to fruition, and it scares the hell out of me.
