Merged So what's next for Trump?

"Office of the Former President" still doesn't have a website.

"Office of Melania Trump" doesn't either, but it has a Twitter account: Office of Melania Trump (@OfficeofMelania) / Twitter

What a sore loser. Just like her husband.
"She goes to the spa, has lunch, goes to the spa (again) and has dinner with Donald on the patio," said one person familiar with Melania Trump's schedule at Mar-a-Lago, her home in Palm Beach, Florida. "Rinse and repeat. Every day."
Her successor Jill Biden has been very busy, doing several events and a magazine interview.
The attention Biden has been getting has not gone unnoticed by Trump, say those who know her. Though she is lamenting the media focus on her successor, Trump turned down several similar offers from national publications throughout her time as first lady, according to two people who worked closely with her. When presented with offers and asks for participation, it was Trump who would not want to do them.

In four years, she never did an interview with a national publication.
A rather sore loser.
But the former first lady is not blaming herself in hindsight, she's blaming others -- former staff members, magazine editors, and corporations and foundations that opted not to work with her because of the former President's political rhetoric. Trump has recently been noting to acquaintances that she thinks she could have participated in more media opportunities and policy events had her staff been more accommodating to her needs.

"That seems unfair, but typical to blame everyone else," said someone familiar with Trump's thinking during her White House years. "Everyone knows Melania Trump does what she wants when she wants, and not one staffer on her team could have done anything to change that."
Just like her husband.

He has a lucrative future working for any government tax entity as a fraud consultant.

I heard he was doing reverse mortgage infomercials for Fifth Third Bank of Tampa.

He has a lucrative future working for any government tax entity as a fraud consultant.

That's all rather like actually working.
He could make a million bucks an hour. All he has to is show up at fund raising dinners for well heeled folks. Then give a 5 minute presentation about how evil Democrats stole the election and must be stopped by whatever means necessary.

Apparently trying his best to play Edmund Kirby Smith in a civil war reenactment is Trump's next move with the battle field played by the republican party. The slaves are obviously the constituents however some of them don't want to be free for fear of thinking for themselves & the boogieman.

Repeating myself, it is the sheer stupidity and crassness of this crime family that is so impressive. Other famous autocrats and crime bosses, whatever their faults, had high IQs. The Trumps behave much more like spoiled brats than like clever villains. It astonishes that the same nation that landed a rover on Mars would have 70 million people vote for these morons.

In one exchange, where Don Sr. complained that he couldn't tweet anymore, Don Jr. chimed in that donjr.com was the way to keep up-to-date on Trump's latest thoughts. Have you clicked to that website? Other than a place to click to buy Don Jr.'s books ($10 extra if autographed), or Don Jr.'s T-shirts there is zero content. (There is a form to subscribe to some newsletter but I didn't want to subject even a throwaway e-mail to that abuse.)

I think Ivanka is the sole hope of the Republican Party moving forward. I don't know if she'll put in a 2-year practice stint as Governor of Florida, or head straight for the Big Job.

Bet she goes Big, first.
Stepping stones only work if you have the skills at each level to demonstrate your readiness for the next stone. She would do much better to have no actual track record for her opponents to criticize, or for voters to weigh.

Word is Ivanka is already not running for Senate. Apparently the shattering of her image as the "conscience" of Trump and her intelligence definitely being oversold devalued her value as a human.

Mitt Romney just opined that Orange would win the GOP nomination in a landslide if the Orange runs in 2024. That may be so but will he win the office? He won't unless a lot of people change their votes. Orange might win if he changed his behavior but Hell isn't likely to freeze over either.

Women who are very good looking, especially if not childishly pretty and not with very big breasts, tend initially to have their intelligence highly rated--thus McCain picked Palin. Judging by her public performance the last 4 or 5 years, Ivanka is at least as dumb as her brothers and dumber than her dad.

Ivanka is "very well spoken".

The Republican Party has been knocked down, but it hasn't been knocked-out. It's a toss-up who will control the Senate after 2022. We've just finished a census so it's reapportionment time. Out of 42 states with multiple Congressional seats, the Rs have total control of 24 of them, including Florida (which will pick up 2 new Congressional seats) and Texas (which will pick up 3). Given gerrymandering and voter suppression, the House is likely to fall to the Rs. The Democrats need to act quickly, but with Manchin dragging his feet, they lack the votes to take important steps like statehood, and ending the filibuster.

One hope is that the Texas power failure turns into a blessing and steers that big state Blue. But I'm not holding my breath on that.

Trump would probably lose the popular vote for the third time (although the Rs will be pulling out all the stops on voter suppression in the 24 states they control), but would he lose the electoral vote? I think Trump would be favored against Kamala Harris. Biden is getting very old.

Trump is rather senescent also, and could barely manage in 2020, even with his adult diapers. So a big question is: Who will the Trumpists run if Daddy is too decrepit? Ivanka?

That would be such a joy and a pleasure. A truly nasty GOP primary. Trump wins, but goes on the lose by a massive landslide. And takes down a bunch of howling, right winged GOP candidates down ballot with him.

... or unless he can "find" a lot of votes. With four years to "search" for [read: manufacture] them, a little help maybe from Team Uncle Vlad on the technical hurdles, who knows.
