Star Wars: The Force Awakens Official Teaser #2

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee *gasp* eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

How nice of Chewie to take care of his geriatric old pal, who apparently wondered out of the old folks home and couldn't remember the way back on his own.

In retrospect, not being able to tell who shot who first and confusing parsecs with units of time should have been clues about early onset Alzheimer's.

Looks pretty good, but then again, it is just the trailer. I've seen trailers that got me excited about the movie, but the movies ended up being duds. I am cautiously optimistic though.

Interesting that Luke says about the Force, "my father HAS it". Err, isn't his father dead at this time?

I'm not even going to bother watching this in the theater. I'll let people come to a consensus and watch it later. I have no faith in the brand, so not keeping my hopes up.

I guarantee you that's not Luke speaking.

It sounded like Mark Hamill's voice to me.

Ya, that was Luke back in Return of the Jedi when he was telling Leia that she was his sister. They cut out the bit when she then vomited and started scrubbing her lips with acid.

I imagine that it was alluding to the fact that either Luke or Leia's kid is a Jedi in this movie. And hopefully that's an "or".

Well, you may be right. I don't hear it myself, but then I haven't heard Mark Hamill's voice in decades, so who knows?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the buzz about this movie was that it would involve the twins of Han Solo and Leia Organa, who inherit their Force-potential from their mother.

Feel underwhelmed by this trailer. It had great images which makes me think the movie will be great, but in feeling it was a dud. The SW theme would have helped a lot.

To be fair, dying doesn't seem to be an impediment to a Jedi.

Why would you hope that? I am sure there is at least one epic storyline that could be developed about a queen trying to claim that her son is the rightful heir despite his being the product of incest. Then Darth Stannis tries to attack but has his fleet destroyed...

It has some real potential, if they can keep the copyright lawyers at bay. :D

Same here.

Saw same super CGI stuff JJ is famous for, one lens flare, several nods to the old trilogy (so no originality), and no sign that there is a plot that might get me back in the theater.

Before, it was the plot that got everyone in their seats - hey, we find out why Darth was such a douchebag! - now we have...nothing.

Just secrecy...but about what?

For all we know, it will be 2 hours of JJ masturbating with old Star Wars toys like he did with the 2009 Star Trek movie.

Why do you think so? A plot twist that that there is another force family out there seems rather contrived.

Anyway, Vader is a ghost now so unless this is going to tie in with the new Ghostbusters sequel somehow, I think it would not be surprised about the use of present tense.
