Star Wars: The Force Awakens Official Teaser #2

You mean to tell me that all this time the Force has been asleep?

To me the title implies that neither Jedi nor Sith have been particularly active in the time leading up to the events of the movie.

Hey, it's Abrams. More, it's Abrams doing Star Wars, so I'm sure the final product will contain plot holes big enough to drive a Star Destroyer through. ;)

I haven't exactly been a #1 fan of Star Wars since the first one, so I wouldn't know. But I do know how long it takes to build a Lego Star Destroyer. It takes a long fucking time, that's how long.

You do know that Lego models are traditionally small-scale representations? You don't have to build at 1:1 scale...

Now you tell me.

Looks like there are a few photos leaked from the set... one in particular shows a new character that is sure to intrigue the fans:

I am of course referring to this guy:

What's "space crate" guy's story? Is he going to play a prominent role in the new trilogy? Why is he in a box, is he that dangerous? Is he ever going to get out? Is he a jedi, who much like Darth Vader, is now more machine than man? Is there going to be a spinoff movie about his adventures?

I'm jealous of the guy in the orange jump suit. Hanging out on Star Wars sets, getting to see cool droids close up. What'd he rate?

Not sure if you're sarcastic or not, but "crate guy" was in Episode IV. I'm pretty sure I remember him from Mos Eisley spaceport when I first saw Star Wars back in 1977. I remember thinking, "Man, some model maker lacks imagination. It looks like a dog crate with legs."

Thanks for pointing it out... though I can't say I'm a bit disappointed that it's not an original design, because it would have rocked.

Anyway I googled a bit and found possible screenshot from the original trilogy:
