The post I was replying to had no content, except a jab about supposedly kowtowing too much to Muslims. It's so far removed from the actual topic of either the thread or my post, I don't see how else one can respond. You hate Muslims. You think Democrats are too soft on Muslims. What is there to talk about? It had nothing to do with the topic at hand.

I don’t hate Muslims. I find the religion of Islam to be abhorrent toward women, and for thousands of years it’s been used to justify colonization, conquest, oppression, and genocide.

None of which justifies your nastiness and insults toward me.

If you don’t want to receive it, simply stop dishing it out. I’ve given plenty of warning of my expectations. You control the tenor of our interactions.

Not in quite a while, at least. I haven't claimed christians are free from criticism, not by a long shot. Just that on average, they've learned from the past and no longer engage in such behavior at scale.

More seriously - why do you feel it necessary to defend a religion that is actively, currently, in modern times doing such horrible things? Arabic states, which are ALL islamic, have the highest rates of forced labor and sexual slavery, they have the most oppressed women by far of any other cultural group out there, and muslims actively engaged in *literal* genocide in Nigeria.

I personally am confident that the Christian Dominionists got Trump elected.
When he first declared his candidacy I laughed. I knew that there was no way that he would get any votes from Christian voters. He was a greedy, deceitful, philandering billionaire from New York for God's sake! Running against people like Ted Cruz. No Way!
But within days the Christian were holding weekly rallies every Sunday morning. And now we know how powerful the Christian Dominionists really are.

I was a department manager for a retail outlet in the suburb of Westmead (which is a predominately Indian Muslim community) for many years. Introduced my Mum, my sister to my co-workers. None of us felt the "you must shit your pants" scariness you subscribe. In fact, most of them hate the Middle East and think it's a shit place to live. In fact, when I was working there, a Sikhi made the critical mistake of saying he wasn't a fan of cricket. His nickname became "Paki-Sikhi" but to his credit he wore it like a champ. But we all got along.
