Trump says he'll designate antifa a terror organization, blames group for violence at George Floyd protests

You cannot be this dumb. I refuse to believe you are this dumb
I believe. ;)

Today in history, 156,000 Antifa stormed Normandy beach, killing every Nazi they came into contact with. I think it’s time history repeats itself.

How can you tell one group of white people from another group of white people?

The Hawaiian shirts, for one. Maybe the fact that the people involved have different priorities and behavioral patterns. Or the fact that they have direct associations with such groups as "Boogaloo Bois".

White allies in these protests generally acknowledge that things need to be kept peaceful, that looting needs to be opposed, that deadly weapons have no place in protests.

So when we see a pack of white dudes in a truck with assault rifles, we can pretty immediately tell the difference.

...if the tacti-cool outfits, confedarate flags and swastika tats don't give them away first.

What if those pack of white dudes in Hawaiian shirts in a truck with assault rifles, and the truck has "eat the rich" and "down with the 1%" written on it?

I find their slooped shouldered lopy, knuckle dragging moves most obvious. Aren't these the same ones who claim racial superiority? All I have to say is "stand up. Be a man."

Nothing like science hating book burning brain dead forehead thumpers claiming to be the superior race among a raceless species.

Nah, those aligned with Antifa fought on the eastern front. Not all anti-fascists are antifa.

Nah:

The anti-fascist protest movement known as antifa gained new prominence in the United States after the white supremacist Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, VA, in August 2017. In Charlottesville and at many subsequent events held by white supremacists or right-wing extremists, antifa activists have aggressively confronted what they believe to be authoritarian movements and groups. While most counter-protestors tend to be peaceful, there have been several instances where encounters between antifa and the far-right have turned violent.

These violent counter-protesters are often part of “antifa” (short for “antifascist”), a loose collection of groups, networks and individuals who believe in active, aggressive opposition to far right-wing movements. Their ideology is rooted in the assumption that the Nazi party would never have been able to come to power in Germany if people had more aggressively fought them in the streets in the 1920s and 30s. Most antifa come from the anarchist movement or from the far left, though since the 2016 presidential election, some people with more mainstream political backgrounds have also joined their ranks.

Yea, but they are also a bunch of thugs who are against centralized liberal governments. They are a small group of nutty violent people who are the perfect tool for Trump to rail against to motivate his base.

No, they are not. Read the link. They simply believe that an equal measure needs to be meted out against the real terrorist movement in America, in particular, which is white supremacists. Nazis, iow.

{I}t is important to reject attempts to claim equivalence between the antifa and the white supremacist groups they oppose. Antifa reject racism but use unacceptable tactics. White supremacists use even more extreme violence to spread their ideologies of hate, to intimidate ethnic minorities, and undermine democratic norms. Right-wing extremists have been one of the largest and most consistent sources of domestic terror incidents in the United States for many years; they have murdered hundreds of people in this country over the last ten years alone. To date, there have not been any known antifa-related murders.

I agree that their tactics are used against them, but they are being used against them by the people who do worse than they, so that's not a legitimate argument; merely (as always) whataboutism in a pathetic attempt to blame the victims. When you're Goliath, you don't get to blame David.

You failed to counter my point. Not all anti-fascists are antifa. There are anti-fascists who are not antifa.

Antifa is anti capitalist and against central governments. Some are socialists, some are ancharists.

They are the opposite of a good liberal government. As someone who wants a better economy and a larger safety net for people who are left our, they want the opposite of what I want. More importantly, they allow republicans to deflect the true problems of today by focusing on their small movement.
