Trump has destroyed any basis there might have been for respecting the office of President; It's no longer justifiable to be polite to the fuckwit who is either deliberately killing his own citizens, or is lethally incompetent. When Trump enacted his travel ban, the U.S. had 0 deaths from the virus. ZERO. ZILCH. NADA. And he still banned travel. That was January 31.

About a month later on Feb 27, Pelosi told us we should have a parade in Chinatown. About 2 weeks later on March 9, Fauci said you can go party on cruise ships if you're healthy. NY Times was saying the virus is no big deal. All media sources were saying the virus is no big deal.

Everyone was saying it was no big deal except for Trump, who enacted the travel ban. You guys are rewriting history. Nothing more, nothing less.

I also watched the segment as presented to me by the left leaning ABC here. Where in that segment is the Trump suggesting people ingest disinfectant? He did keep repeating for people to see their doctors though. The quote has been taken completely out of context, and if one is honest enough he/she would see/hear that! " Why can't something like Dettol which kills a virus in a minute be made that could be ingested with the same results." Is not suggesting people ingest the stuff to kill the virus!

As I suspected - the spread of the virus vastly out-paces the disease. This is probably great news, and the mortality rate could be as low as only a few times that of the seasonal flu.

It would seem obvious that this is a question that urgently needs to be answered. It's just a shame that the Trump Crime Family is so opposed to truth simply because it is the truth, that even good news needs to be suppressed. But once someone can explain to Cheato how extremely widespread testing could exonerate him and make him a national hero by November, he'll be all over it claiming nobody knew, he was the first to put it together, nobody knows more about it than him etc. etc.

Is it important to you that you defend President Trump for everything he says? Is it not possible to say, "I support Donald Trump because I agree with his economic policies, or his position on foreign affairs (or whatever) but he shouldn't have suggested that people take caustic cleansers internally."

I would not fault you for that. I voted for Barack Obama twice, but I didn't support every thing he did. Nor did I try to wave away his occasional verbal mistake as just sarcasm, or just trolling the press.

But when someone says, "Oh no, my President is being attacked--I must defend him!" it makes that person look foolish. As foolish as a Young Earth Creationist insisting that every word in the Bible must be correct or else. It's a sign of binary thinking.

You know as well as I, patriotism is a word; and one that generally comes to mean, my country, right or wrong, which is infamous, or my country is always right, which is imbecile.

The idiot asked whether his doctors would look into:

1) shining light on people to kill the virus
2) whether disinfectant could be used to kill the virus in people’s bodies

This is only negligibly better than telling people to do those things!

Reality: It looks like someone who was infected attended CES. I don't know the exact date but it's in early January. I've been there, it's wall-to-wall people--and there are the badges. You wear them the whole time you're there, if you want information from a company you hand them your badge--one hell of a vector. About the only worse situation I can think of for mass spread was the big dinner in Wuhan just before this blew up. The horses were truly fled at that point.
