A lot of pundits have predicted that the love affair between Muskrat and Orange Man will be short lived, due to the fact that they are both egomaniacal narcissists. At least the Congress finally voted last night to keep the government running at least for a few more months. I think there were enough votes to override a veto if the soon to be new sheriff in town, should veto the next attempt to keep the government running.

I was very surprised that Congress even voted to increase SS benefits for public workers who weren't getting as much as other workers, due to their government pensions. Now, if they've paid in for at least ten years, their entitlement will be increased. That will be a big help for retired police, fire fighters, teachers, and some other government employees.
