US President 2016 - the Great Horse Race

What sways voters is the message coming from Trump. People are up to their eyeballs with political correctness and the apologists for moslems. Trump is telling the punters what they want to hear. Whether they would vote for him in a presidential race is another matter.

Trump is a sad commentary on the State of the Republican/Conservative "Union" public in the USA.
Remember that the right wing in Germany were also told what they wanted to hear, by Hitler. Trump is using similar propaganda methods and Goebbels' principle of the bigger the lie, the more people believe it.

--------------------------

With all great deceivers there is a noteworthy occurrence to which they owe their power. In the actual act of deception they are overcome by belief in themselves: it is this which then speaks so miraculously and compellingly to those around them.
................NIETZCHE 1878. (In Human, All Too Human.)
Big difference been is the fact Hitler led a dictatorship. America is a democracy.

So you imply that he is not a sad commentary on the state of the American right-wing? That, because he is anti-Latino and anti-Muslim, and not anti-Jewish, and because America is a democracy, his lies and half-truths are OK and are happy and hopeful sign?

RealClearPolitics - Opinion, News, Analysis, Video and Polls

With all the numbers in, here are the results for yesterday's contests:

Republicans
Kansas: Cruz 48.2%, Trump 23.3%, Rubio 16.7%, Kasich 10.7%
Kentucky: Trump: 35.9%, Cruz 31.6%, Rubio 16.4%, Kasich 14.4%
Louisiana: Trump 41.4%, Cruz 37.8%, Rubio 11.2%, Kasich 6.4%
Maine: Cruz 45.9%, Trump 32.6%, Kasich 12.2%, Rubio 8.0%

Marco Rubio did very poorly, about as bad as John Kasich. So will it be Trump vs. Cruz?

Democrats
Kansas: Sanders 67.7%, Clinton 32.3%
Louisiana: Clinton 71.1%, Sanders 23.2%
Nebraska: Sanders 57.1%, Clinton 42.9%

The 15th will be primaries in Ohio and Florida. This could well end campaigns of Rubio and Kasich. Then its Ted N' Trump.

Rubio and Kasich are idiots for thinking they have a chance at this point.
They're needed to stay in to see if they can at least take their respective states and force a brokered convention. I think it is the hope of the GOP that by this time, attitudes will have shifted enough that they can push the nomination toward Rubio or Kasich without causing a party split. I'm not sure I've got this all straight though.

Trump: Entertainer playing a role
Cruz: Texas Politician born in Canada
Clinton: Politician being investigated by the FBI for treason
Sanders: Socialist who wants everyone equally poor

Which is the least of evils?

I don't see why. She's an angel who's demonstrated her humanity time and again. Why should we accommodate right wing demagoguery?

Really? The is a long list of evil things that she has done?

"HILLARY CLINTON TOOK ME THROUGH HELL"

Really? This is the best you can do. Referring to someone who goes with the wind. See his history:  David Horowitz and one who used political affiliation to support an academic 'bill of rights'* which was accepted in Georgia (where else). As for integrity check out the criticisms section of the piece (academia, racism, Islamic organizations, and conservatism). Sheesh he even defended his conservative bits in a breitbart blog. Now that's where orts of integrity exist. Liberals will see dog whistles everywhere here.
*political affiliation is not a criterion for merit in an academic position.

Just to be fair I'm posting  Hillary Clinton so we can all bask in the glow of her angelic and productive life of public service. :joy::joy:

I think the Clintons are both bitches, liars, and poltical surfers and they even use other peoples' boards (of directors). They've got so much wrong with them it is wrong to not challenge them....but NOT THIS WAY:

Let Bernie run a campaign and make his imprint on this system. It would be very good for it.

Of course, that is not what Sanders wants. Other than that........
