As I mentioned in the St. Louis thread, there have been violent protests breaking out at my alma mater, Georgia Tech.
Three arrested in violent Georgia Tech protests after police shoot student
This shit is never justified. Luckily, it seems to be mostly outside agitators (like Vincent Castillenti, who is a 2009 USF graduate)
The dead guy was quite disturbed and it was almost certainly suicide by cop.
Call about suspicious man was made by Georgia Tech student killed by police, investigators say
On a lighter note, lmao!

Interesting. Scout made a lot of being "non-binary" and refusing to identify by gender, even eschewing normal pronouns. But when he described himself to the police, he made a point to specify that he was male.WaPo said:The call that led Georgia Tech campus police to respond to a man reportedly wielding a knife was made by the student who was later shot and killed by officers, police investigators said Monday night. That student, Scout Schultz, left three suicide notes behind in a dormitory room, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. [..] In the call to police Saturday night, Schultz described a suspicious person “as a white male, with long blond hair, white T-shirt & blue jeans who is possibly intoxicated, holding a knife and possibly armed with a gun on his hip,” according to a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Maybe a stressful engineering program at Tech wasn't the best course of action for Scott/Scout at this time. The parents of Schultz said their child, who identified as neither male nor female, had suffered from anxiety and depression, and had spent time in counseling after attempting suicide by hanging two years ago.
Ah yes, the Antifas. I guess that explains the violence that broke out.Bill Schultz said recently that Scout had expressed interest in the anti-fascist political movement and frustration with news coverage of police-involved shootings.“I will say this, that recently Scout has been slightly involved with the anti-fascist community and had expressed a number of anti-fascist ideas to me,” he said.
So he is angry at police for shooting people and is response is to make police shoot him?“I tend to think that if there was a cause it might have been anger at the police over all the shootings and all the long litany of police shootings.”
On a lighter note, lmao!
