Why "Chinese Virus" is racist

No response noted.

My responses are just as relevant as your bullshit segue into what happened in China in the 70s. I'm a bit disappointed, but unsurprised I had to spell it out for you.

So you think them eating poop covered bats and birds and other animals while slaughtering them with blood and poop mixed together had zero bearing on the start of the disease?

I thought you guys liked science?

So, present the science.
Or the citation.

So, archaeologists and paleontologists have found no evidence, anywhere, of people eating bats until Mao fucked up the country? This is your claim, and you can support it?

I can't speak for everybody else, but I certainly like science. And I suspect I know more about it than someone who believes in vaccines for cancer, or that diseases and virus are interchangeable, or takes the advice of a failed casino owner blindly believing that this pandemic will disappear like a miracle in April. You still haven't provided even a correlation between the practices of China in the 70s and the coronavirus much less causation by the way.

Not to back halfie much, but some vaccines will prevent viral infection progression. Some viruses that fuck our genes up and cause cancer.

I was just reading a little history, guys.

In the 1970's, China had a famine under communist Mao Zedong. He wasn't feeding the people so they became desperate for food and started eating bats and birds and whatever they could find. They put them in cages one on top of the other and they crap all over each other from top to bottom since they are in cages. They then kill these creatures and have been eating them for decades. That's how it started.

Blame the communist leadership who starved the people.

I really don't have a problem with 4th edition Dungeons and Dragons. I know it's not a favourite amongst the fans, but I like the quick, casual option the rules provide.

You know, because apparently we aren't discussing what this thread was about any more.

So, you're denying factual history?

You keep creatures in cages one on top of the other, where does the poop go? Right down on each other.
Are you talking about industrial chicken keeping?

Who fucking knows. Apparently a bat was in a cage in China during the 70s so calling this the China virus is completely justifiable.

It's the manner in which they were kept.

Keeping animals in cages one on top of the other means the poop flows right down on top of each other. That is basic nature and gravity. Then you slaughter them and the blood mixes with the poop and flows all over into the streets.

To say, "That sounds sanitary, nothing out of the ordinary there" shows a lack of scientific understanding.

So in 1970, gravity existed in China, therefore calling this pandemic the China virus is fine.
A complete lack of peer reviewed evidence, coupled by no links of causation proves you don't have a fucking clue what "a lack of scientific understanding" means. If you want an example of a lack of scientific understanding, buy a fucking mirror.

Again, like industrial chicken farming all over the West?

Our farmers are slaughtering chickens in the streets mixed with bats and other rabies infested animals??

Maybe a flowchart would help:

Mao starved people ----> people are hungry ----> eat whatever animals they can find ---> virus starts due to unsanitary conditions

Criticism of the Chinese government does not equal criticism of the Chinese people. They had no choice but to use drastic measures. Mao starved them. It is their government we don't like, not the people.

Maybe a flowchart would help

Ok!

Trump was informed of the seriousness and breadth of the Trump Virus and he ignored it because it would make him look bad----> Americans predictably got infected and are dying by the thousands ----> Trump uses the virus to blackmail State governors ----> More Americans keep dying ----> Jared Kushner is put in charge of something he has zero qualifications for and then says something so fucking stupid only a Trump voter could praise it ----> More Americans keep dying...

Yeah, you're right! Flowcharts really help to track the Trump Virus.

You know that's not evidence, right. You do get that if you provided this "proof" to any virologist, you'd be laughed at right?

You get that, right?

They are called wet markets.

Wow look at that! Animals in cages stacked on top of each other!

The fact that you guys did NOT know this common knowledge tells me all I need to know about your research. No one can possibly look at those pictures and think, "Perfectly sanitary! No problems!"

But you said THIS was when they FIRST started eating bats.
So, no one else in history ever ate bats? No Chinese until Mao? Show your work, here.

The fact that you have no citations, just this 'flowchart' tells me nothing new about your bullshit.

Ya know, on January 21 Fauci said there was no need to be concerned. Shortly after, Trump ordered the China travel ban, which he was criticized for. If you’re aware of a politician who voiced an impending pandemic in January and February, do tell. The honest position is to acknowledge that China purposely misled everyone. The WHO in January said there was no human to human transmission. When Taiwan tried to warn the WHO, the WHO bowed to China and told Taiwan to fuck off.

You really have a short attention span, don't you? Nothing you are provided supports the bullshit rambling you spewed forth here. You said this crap, so burden of proof is on you, champ.

Blame the communist leadership who starved the people.

Lets try a bit of reality here.

1) Yes, there was a famine, but it was not due to not feeding the people. Rather, it was due to a productivity drop under collectivization.

2) The virus didn't start back then.

3) In a situation like that they wouldn't be making a pile of cages of captured animals. The animals would be eaten soon after capture, they would be no substantial stock of them. Storing them would reduce the food value of eating them.

4) I have seen stacks of caged animals in China--there's always a barrier to keep the ones on top from crapping on the ones on the bottom. This is basic marketing sense--you're not going to get as much for a crapped-on animal.

And finally: My wife lived through those times. Do you really think you know more about what happened??

Yes, we all know what your marching orders are.

Your first comment was tangential to the topic of the thread, at best.

As Jokodo has pointed out, twice, the chicken and eggs you consumed in the 70s, and likely still do if you buy the produce of caged birds, is raised for weeks in just the manner you describe.

It is racist to assume that people in other countries don't know or use the most elementary basics about hygienically slaughtering a food animal.

Let’s Zoom Xi. He has questions to answer

Third, after it became clear that there was a full-blown epidemic spreading from Wuhan to the rest of Hubei province, why did you cut off travel from Hubei to the rest of China – on January 23 – but not from Hubei to the rest of the world?

Okay. So China cordoned offer Hubei from the rest of China yet let travelers fly out of Hubei to foreign countries and spread the virus. Shanghai and Beijing not affected. But New York and Italy are. China is asshole.
