It’s a serious question. The left keeps crying that democracy is over but I suspect we will continue to have elections. I am just curious what they think Republicans will do that will effective end democracy. Do you try ink that the majority of Americans would agree with not having elections at all? Or just more and more restrictive laws on the ways that elections are held that benefit demographically Republican voters? Or maybe we will see election counts that always turn up Republican winners without transparency about how the votes are counted? Do away with bi-partisan vote watching?

Start by installing "loyalists" in all the positions that control elections. That process is well underway already. If Republicans win big in a week, two years from now will be foregone.

All of the above. Whatever succeeds for them. The Trump model is in full effect. Putin has been coaching him for years, on step-by-step dismantling of a representative government and staying in power. He is only out now because he's too stupid and cowardly to follow Putin's directions closely.. Putinism is now current Republican policy. In fact, it's really their ONLY policy, having no plan whatsoever for the economy, immigration or any of the other things they ostensibly complain about. Their real beef is ELECTIONS. As Trump says "Well, we're going to have to see what happens. You know that I've been complaining very strongly about the ballots, and the ballots are a disaster." He actually started complaining about elections a long long time before that. Even when he won. he complained about elections. Now it's SOP for Repubicans to claim fraud whenever they lose.

There's a case coming before the Supreme Court where state legislators propose choosing the state's electors themselves, over-riding the vote of the people and even over-riding the state's constitution.

Then there's gerrymandering, voter caging or, as was the case in Georgia before the last gubernatorial election, throw half a million mostly black people off the voter rolls shortly before the election.

You don't do away with elections. You make the elections fairer by making certain access to them is tightened to those you don't want to vote. You put people in charge of overseeing them and determining their legitimacy. You convince enough people that up is down and down is left.
