I have no idea who Lithgow is. But I have close to zero interest in knowing who the celebrities are. I have never watched an Oscar or similar things. There are a few movie stars I could name but most of them died long ago. I could identify John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Robert Mitchum. People like that.

I'm somewhat knowledgeable with movie and tv stars from the last 20 years, and much better with older ones like you mention. But today's singers and bands? Forget it. I have no idea who 95% are, or recognize any of their songs. I vaguely recognize one or two songs by Beyonce, and she's won 35 Grammy awards. The Beatles won 8. Dafuq?
