Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

Say English philologists. This is definitely off-topic, though. What we can all agree on is that whatever English is, it is being brutally tortured by every one of Trump's tweets.
Okay, Trump is saying that this meeting with Russia won't change much, but hopefully there is a second meeting, almost immediately between the parties actually directly involved in the conflict... you know, if this meeting goes... OK. Kind of makes one wonder why this meeting is happening at all... in fucking Alaska.

Trump tells homeless to stop being homeless or go to jail. The solution to poverty is simple, just stop being poor. Certainly encampments are not pretty and we need to address homelessness. However, putting people in jail for not owning or renting a home seems kind of dumb.

Oh wait... they found something worse.
article said:
"Homeless individuals will be given the option to leave their encampment, to be taken to a homeless shelter, to be offered addiction or mental-health services, and if they refuse, they will be susceptible to fines or to jail time," White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told reporters.

Leavitt said the administration was exploring strategies to relocate homeless individuals "far from the capital." She said U.S. Park Police have removed 70 homeless encampments from federal parks since March and are set to clear the remaining two encampments in the city later this week.
Displacing them "far from the capital"? I'm assuming not Florida or Texas.

Cough cough: Shakespeare invented the English language.

Or rather, unified and standardized it.

*Not really. I’m just funnin with ya.

I was told that Shakespeare was originally in Klingon!
I actually WAS once told that Shakespeare invented Ted English or more precisely, unified various languages and dialects into English.

But according to Star Trek, to truly appreciate Shakespeare you have to read it in the original Klingon. Star Trek wouldn't lie.

I'm waiting for the Smithsonian exhibit on the airports taken by George Washington's army. One of the talking heads on MSNBC was saying this morning that the Smithsonian will have to promote, quote, TRUMP'S VISION OF HISTORY. Like this pumpkin brain has ever read a history book. Never fight uphill, me boys.....
It's getting harder and harder to believe that what shows up on the news is happening. The lout who sat at the back of your U.S. history class, drawing dirty pictures, sneaking in Playboy centerfolds, picking his nose, making fart noises on his hands...that's the guy telling us all about our national heritage.

I thought English was a bastard language which went through a huge transition during that period when the British Aristocracy were speaking French. We dropped all that gender stuff for non-anthropomorphic noun that existed. The language was littered with french, dutch, and others terms.
English is what you get when a Frenchman tells you the story of a bunch of Germans trying to yell at some Vikings in Latin.

English is a smorgasbord.

And Trump's tariffs are now baking deeper into the economy.
article said:
The Producer Price Index (PPI) for July showed inflation for businesses rose 0.9% over the prior month in July, well ahead of the 0.2% increase that was forecast data from the BLS showed Thursday. On an annual basis, prices rose 3.3%, the most since February.

"Core" producer prices, which exclude food, energy, and trade services, rose 0.6% last month, the most since March 2022 and an uptick after prices were unchanged in June. On an annual basis, core producer prices rose 3.3%, which was also the most since February.
Inflation is coming again... and Mexico is going to pay for it.

Trump has been blaming Powell, yelling, screaming, demanding lower interest rates, and now we are seeing why they aren't being dropped. Trump is lowering employment and increasing inflation, all so that nations can lie to him about building production in the US.

So, Trump spoke with Putin for three hours... and shocker... nothing came from it.

I'm more shocked that Trump didn't claim that Ukraine belongs to Russia.

"So sorry Vlad that you can't stop your war of aggression. I understand."*

* It's what the picture says.

It's disgusting that a US President would be trying to console a bloodthirsty murderer and authoritarian despot.

This photo really shows where Trump's "heart" is. He wants to be like Putin.

It did what it was supposed to do. Get the Epstein files off the front page.

To be honest, I was surprised that the announcement was that one sided. I was expecting Putin to concede to certain terms, but using requirements that Ukraine would never accept and then nothing happens, continuing the status quo in a week or two. Instead, we end up without even the status quo as Trump goes from Ceasefire to Peace Deal. I'm curious where in the heck Rubio is in all this. He getting paid too?

What in the heck did they talk about for three hours?
