Well... it's Trump... again. #47, here we go.

The Cram Session - a one-scene play

Characters: POTUS, Leavitt, Miller, steward
props: world map, wooden pointer, generic office set, sandwich tray

Leavitt: This is your last chance to study for the Montreal Cognitive. Pay attention.
POTUS: But I aced that! I took it ten times! The doctors all said they'd never seen such a score.
Miller: And who signs their paychecks? Pay attention!
Leavitt (picks up pointer, points to Greenland) Name it.
POTUS: Iceland.
Leavitt: That is GREENLAND!! (points to Iceland) Name it.
POTUS: Greenland.
Leavitt: That is ICELAND, jackass!
POTUS: But you just said --
Miller (claps him vigorously on both ears) Pay attention!!
POTUS: Son of a bitch!! That's where they shot me, you stupid fuck!
Miller (calming a bit) We'll go a bit slower, Mr. President. But my grandmother could do this, and her brains are oatmeal.
Leavitt (points to Greenland) Name it.
POTUS: Greenland -- no, wait. You think you can trick me. It's Iceland.
Leavitt: Fuck! It is GREENLAND!! (points to Greenland again) Now, name it.
POTUS: It'ssssss....it'sssss.....it's Greeeenland?
Leavitt: Yes! Keep going!! (points to Greenland yet again) Name it.
POTUS: Iceland.
Leavitt and Miller: Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!!
POTUS: But why would you keep pointing to the same --
Leavitt: Because you're a goddamn dumbbell!
White House steward (enters with tray) Your one a.m. Big Mac, sir.
POTUS: Fries?
Steward: Extra large fries. (POTUS grabs tray, begins to eat with great fervor. Steward exits.)
Miller: Food is for closers, Mr. President. Put that Big Mac down. (POTUS continues to eat, with loud nom noises) I... SAID...PUT....THAT....BIG...MAC....DOWN.
Leavitt: Okay, shut up, Miller. When he's on his feed, you can't do a goddamn thing with him. We'll try again in an hour.
Miller: And what if the doctors blab? What then?
Leavitt: I'll spin it. You know I can spin it. Or we'll just fire them. Or -- your people can handle them.
(Miller and Leavitt exit. POTUS remains at the table, and lights go out until just one spotlight is on him. He begins on the fries, first holding the biggest fry above his head and grinning, then sucking it into his mouth. Light fades as he empties packet after packet of fancy tomato catsup onto the fries. Hail to the Chief begins to play. CURTAIN.)

Ya. Spin. When press ask about Shit for Brains saying Iceland instead of Greenland multiple times.

“No he didn’t,” Leavitt wrote on X in response to a reporter accurately describing the speech, sharing a Google result featuring an image of Greenland. “His written remarks referred to Greenland as a ‘piece of ice’ because that’s what it is. You’re the only one mixing anything up here.”

In case anyone missed this Trump dementia:

“Our stock market took the first dip yesterday because of Iceland,” the president said, referring to market shifts related to his repeated threats to seize Greenland. “So Iceland’s already cost us a lot of money.”

“I’m helping Europe, I am helping NATO, and until the last few days when I told them about Iceland, they loved me,”

“The problem with NATO is that we’ll be there for them, 100 percent, but I’m not sure that they’ll be there for us,” the president continued. “They’re not there for us on Iceland, that I can tell you.

Davos. That was hilarious. "Mr. President, gx fxxk yxxxsxxf." Wonder who said it?"
Wait for his next announcement. He would take Iceland too.

* Víctor Manuel Vargas, the Venezuelan ambassador to the United Nations.

And "China" can refer to any place that makes dinner plates. And "Turkey".... does anyone else detest this Leavitt woman as much as I do? (Hint: intensely.)

Leavitt is detestable. I don't know of one example of when I have seen what she said that wasn't a lie. And she lies so transparently. So obviously. Zero shame.

White House Spokespeople are professional fibbers. However, Leavitt is a troll, goes as far as instigating. Sanders wasn't much better, but Leavitt is a class act in trolling.

We shouldn't be unkind to Donald Trump for getting Grenland and Iceland confused. I did the same, when I was a toddler.
The interesting thing is I can handle gaffes, assuming it is a gaffe. Mistakes happen. It is all the shit he does on purpose that bothers me greatly.

Yes, Trump said, 'Sometimes you need a dictator'

Oh look, the concern we had about Trump was totally real, not based in paranoia or alarmism, and completely ignored.

Trump really is crass.

Sir Keir Starmer today branded Donald Trump 'insulting and frankly appalling' as he led a chorus of fury over the US President's vile slur against British soldiers who fought and died in Afghanistan. The Prime Minister said the American leader should apologise for astonishing remarks belittling Nato's role in the conflict in a television interview that worsened the deepest transatlantic rift in decades. Politicians and military veterans reacted with outrage after the president told Fox News that Nato troops, including those from Britain, stayed 'a little off the front lines' during the war in Afghanistan.

Daily Mail

Such ignorance is shocking for the President of the US.

As I have said many times before - not necessarily unknown or ignored, but in fact welcome. People will love the fact that he said that, and that he IS one. Trump didn't get elected solely because people are ignorant suckers, but because many, MANY American voters WANT exactly what he has delivered. People being swept up and disappeared? These fans of Trump are eating it up. People shot in the face for just getting in the way and being inconvenient? Trump lovers LOVE it, and want more. That is the real problem, and the real tragedy.

B - Fuck you Bonespurs would have done nicely.

I'm still partial to the diagnosis given by Dr. Kim Jong ('Chub Gut') Un a couple of years ago: "the mentally deranged U.S. dotard."
Someday, just maybe, a Trumpie will explain to me what is accomplished when our President showers our WWII allies with insults, stating that "we" won the war for them; that Canada would not even exist without us, and that we have gotten nothing -- nothing -- out of our NATO alliance. The damage Trump has caused just this week is going to endure for generations. Mindless, stupefying, disgraceful. He slouches across the stage (and the pages of our history) like some CGI slime/pus creature from a Star Wars sequel.
But, hey, there's an upside: the voice gets ever wearier, whispier, the enunciation more garbled, the eyelids heavier, the hands more mottled with bruising. Cholestrol, work your magic.

From my observations it seems many folk don't actually want a democracy, because they are repulsed by the idea that they might have to compromise with people to whom they are ideologically opposite.

Thump and his goons would be even more frightening if they were competent. The lies they are caught in just pile up.

The White House posted a manipulated photo of activist Levy Armstrong. The White house photo shows her crying and her face has been darkened.

On the other hand Noem posted an unmanipulated photo of her with a neutral expression.

So the White House is, get it here, Lying, again.

Armstrong has also posted her own video of the arrest taken by her husband. At no point is she crying.
