"Me Too" Judge Roy Moore

Old habits die hard.
The south (especially) has rich traditions of suppression (traditions of suppression by the rich) - rich white women were suppressed by rich white men, poor white men were suppressed by rich white men and women, poor white women were suppressed by rich and poor white men, and black people were suppressed by everyone else. Unless you were black, you had someone to suppress. That made it all good (unless you were black). Now these carpetbaggers want to upset the applecart, and not only protect black people from suppression, but let women - WOMEN! - stand up to men - even WHITE men! In the minds of the faithful-to-southern-tradition, that's just unnatural and WRONG. The ability to suppress someone else is their HERITAGE, dammit!

So what you're saying is that Republicans will vote for a child molester as long as the result is stepping on the necks of women? We already learned that in the last presidential election.

Well, Playball said she "didn't get it". IMHO, that's all there is to get - a bunch of backward, inbred morons have become comfortable with norms that would freak a rational person right out.

Testing nested quote function - ignore.

OK, I will ignore your post as instructed.

Republican Roy Moore is trailing Democrat Doug Jones by 12 points in the Alabama special Senate election, according to a poll conducted by the National Republican Senatorial Committee after five women accused Moore of pursuing them as teenagers.

Ahhhhm the stink of defeat is on Moore

Let me try to see this from the perspective of a born-again, evangelical Alabaman.
Okay. Prep first. Got a chaw of Red Man, check. Got A Bible nearby, check. Shaking my head vigorously...spinning around in one spot real quick...hyperventilating. Okay, I'm breathing fire about now. Don't own a gun, so I can't do nothin' about that part of it. Okay, so Judge Roy:
1) Ya can't fault a man for what he don't remember on Hannity.
2) She may've been an 8th grade girl, but have you seen how some of these girls are dressed these days?
3) Mary coulda been as young as 12 and been betrothed, in the Book. Are you saying the Holy Ghost was a chicken hawk?
4) Are you?
5) Judge Roy has proved he believes on the Book and the Ten Commandments, and he's put his job on the line for 'em.
6) Fake news. Who you gonna believe?
7) Who?
8) Clinton got to stay on in the White House after he lied and then confessed to that messy sex affair with an innocent 21-year-old....21...Okay, skip this one.
9) His name is Judge Roy an' he wears a cowboy hat. He talks my kind o' talk. Lock and load, praise Jesus.

Keurig just keeled to those vicious thugs brutally clubbing innocent baby coffee makers.

They caved in to people who are angry at them for refusing to give ad money to a show that supported a pedophile. They were literally destroying coffee machines in defense of pedophilia.

Are you saying that slightly more than half of Alabama is unwilling to vote for a pedophile?

I'm shocked.

Nothing new.

We already knew that most Republicans are comfortable with voting for a pedophile.

Remember that woman who accused Trump of molesting her as a child? She stopped her lawsuit because of all the anonymous death threats. So not only are Republicans prepared to vote for a pedophile, but they are willing to use terrorist tactics to defend a pedophile. They aren't just comfortable with pedophilia, they are willing to do deplorable (there's that word again) things in defense of a pedophile.

10. He will give us what we want as far right, tea party evangelical Christians. So we will suck it up and vote for him even if he was sex maniac with a penchant for you girls.

11. Hell, I hit on some teen aged girls myself, so I can't dislike him for that.

12. You have to admire him for his persistence if nothing else.

13. At least it was young women and not young boys like Dennis Hastert.

MSNBC. More weird tales about Moore's mall adventures. This guy was a weirdo. It is just getting worse. There is something wrong with this guy. The Washington Post reporter who has been pursuing this story states that nobody could remember him dating women his age. This creep actually called one of these girls at her high school.

We have a month to go til election day, December 12th. It is going to be a long 4 weeks.

Moore is doubling down on the stupid.

It's up to the Alabama electorate to determine the true level of the stupidity.

Sane democrats want Moore in this race. If he steps aside it's likely another crony Republican gets in, which is what the republicans want anyway.

You go, Roy! Take it to the house.

Roy does have a chance if he gets all weepy and asks Jesus to forgive him. Alabamians love all that Jesus forgive me shit.

Exactly! Moore winning the election would look awful and also lead to an entirely unpredictable vote in the Senate for the Republicans. On the other hand, Jones can possibly beat Moore. What is incredible is that Jones might be able to beat Moore, not that Moore is down.

And I was curious as the source of Moores steadfast support. Is it the home bred xenophobic assholery that we have come to love Alabama for, or is it the programmed conditioning by the right-wing via Fox News and AM Radio that has made their base into a bunch of paranoid idiotic fuckheads? Or some combination of the two? IE, are the Republicans to blame for their base not believing or caring about the accusations against Moore?

The photo!

moore_yearbook.jpg

So a quick look at the photo and it feels like it was written by three people. There is the actual note part, the the signature, then the date and Olde Hickory House.

The signature doesn't even look old... but it'd be odd for someone to write "Love," and then leave it blank. The 7's are completely different. The person that wrote 1977 didn't use "bubble" font, that some people like to use, usually women. But once again, why would there be a large blank space with no signature, and why the odd reference to a location, as in a *wink wink* sort of thing.

But most importantly, what in the hell was written? 'To a sweeter more beautiful girl I could not say "Merry Christmas"'

What in the fuck does that even mean?! That sounds like something a shy kid secretly writes in the Yearbook because they never had the courage to ever speak to the girl. Could explain the Love and the ', Roy Moore' being added later.

None of it makes sense. But at least, Sean Hannity has stopped talking for a moment at least. And of course, this could be forged evidence, but that doesn't prove that Roy Moore isn't guilty of harming this woman when she was a teen.
