That seems to be the Republicans method of rehabilitating the image of their past presidents. I remember on The Daily Show where they brought up H.W. Bush and Stewart said "remember when we used to hate him?" Reagan and Bush Sr. are now good politicians by comparison. W is now the comedy relief instead of the incompetent war criminal. Heck, even Nixon is looking good by comparison. I just worry as to what they will do to make people think Trump's time in office wasn't so bad.

Nice. So what's the value of that if you are using Trump Republicanism as cover for doing whatever it is you think you are doing? Seems it comes down to either you incorporate Trump in your little mantra or you admit you have not Lincoln values at all.
