It claims that Greenberg asked Roger Stone for a pardon (and took screenshots of private e-chats with Gaetz for Stone to show Trump!). But Stone got back to Greenberg and told him that his buddy Matt Gaetz did not want Greenberg to get a pardon. (I suppose because then Greenberg could testify against Gaetz with impunity?)

I doubt she has any criminal culpability that might make her need "to make a deal". She was an "intimate partner". This means she has been inside his Washington apartment, the bedroom and the bathroom. She's probably spent time in his Florida home, as well. Intimate partners see a lot and know a lot. They are privy to secrets and listen to conversations. There's no end to the loose threads this woman could tie up in a nice bow for the prosecutors.

Well the federal law is for transporting anyone under 18, so local state age of consent doesn't apply to that. Some of the recent reports would indicate they can add obstruction of justice for getting involved in a call he shouldn't have been a part of.

It's not just in the South. The age of consent is 16 in 32 states, including several northern ones. But, this is more about sexual exploitation, something very different.

I think the primary reason that the age of consent is 16 is to allow two teenagers to have sex without being charged with a crime. Matt is an authority figure, afaic, so I think the sexual exploitation, in this case, sex trafficking would apply to him.

Daddy is very wealthy and can afford incredible lawyers for his son that likes porking high schoolers after snorting coke off their butts. So, the method of investigation will require a lot of perfection as well as using Gaetz's snortin' bud to do a lot of the talkin'... providing hard copy evidence to prove this stuff happened, but a rich person's lawyer will tear through him otherwise in their narrative of how this is nothing but a political witch hunt. If there are receipts and pics, that'll be harder to tidy up. And hopefully these prosecutors are wise in every step they take.
