The wife of an Arizona pastor who predicted an “AIDS-free Christmas” if all gays were killed has condemned the Duggar family – as “worldly” liberals who promote a “false gospel.” Zsuzsanna Anderson said she had never met the stars of TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting,” but the mother of eight children has streamed every one of their regular episodes and specials because she likes “seeing and learning from the daily workings of a large family.” The wife of Pastor Steven Anderson, who bars homosexuals and demands silence from women at his Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, said in a blog post she disapproved of the “deceptive” way the Duggars practiced their faith. Anderson said she had no doubt that Josh Duggar, who admitted to police as a teen that he had molested his sisters and other girls as they slept, had been sexually abused himself – but she was unforgiving toward the 27-year-old married father if had become a “reprobate pedophile.” “I believe that all pedophiles are reprobates, that they are unregenerate and in fact can never change, and that they, like all sexual deviants, should be executed as the Bible demands, lest they spread their abusive ways and corrupt more innocent lives,” Anderson said.

1. Liberals support gay marriage.
2. Gay marriage is the same thing as homosexual molestation of children.
3. Therefore, liberals support the homosexual molestation of children.
4. Therefore, marriage is the same thing as molesting children.
5. Therefore, Josh Duggar was supporting heterosexual marriage by molesting underaged girls.

Just kidding. We all know that conservative Christians are making excuses for Josh for the same reasons Catholics made excuses for buggering priests and for the same reason Muslims make excuses for the practice of child marriage: to maintain the illusion of moral superiority. Saving face is simply more important than protecting children.

Earlier this year, reports surfaced that Josh Duggar sexually molested five underage girls, including some of his sisters. A few months after the allegations came out, Duggar entered rehab when it was revealed he also had an Ashley Madison account and cheated on his wife.

E! says that the "SVU" Duggars-themed episode will center around a large family with a reality TV show as the investigators discover the 13-year-old daughter is pregnant. The episode, called "Patrimonial Burden," will air on Nov. 4.

A point I make often and loudly on social media. There is no God and Christians know this whether they suppress the knowledge or consciously use the lie for personal gain. They know it because actual, real life experience shows them that God doesn't stop Christians from sinning. It's always other human beings who stop abusers if they are stopped at all. And within that "abusive absolute authority father figure" paradigm, that experience of God not stopping them, there is no authority to tell them they're wrong.

Christians in positions of authority who inherently have something of a conscience, or just a lack of desire to abuse, can easily keep telling themselves that God stops sinners. But those types of individuals who want to abuse and who will keep doing whatever OTHER HUMAN BEINGS don't know about or let them get away with, those guys thrive in Christian churches and communities. Some are more willing to hold their authority figures accountable than others, but the framework itself encourages abuse and low accountability for abusers in positions of authority.

If Josh were just some unknown, poor, no status Christian guy in some small church somewhere, there's a good chance he'd be thrown right out into law enforcement's hands without trying to protect or excuse him, but even the most powerless of Christian men have a good chance of getting out of accountability by demonizing the victim and getting "spiritual counseling" as the only consequence of the abuse.

A long time ago - back when AOL chat rooms were a thing - a predator tried to contact my then 13 year old daughter in one. Her mom was suspicious of some of the activity, and logged on as her to "chat" with the new "friend." She scared him off, but we both kept a close eye on the chat rooms afterwards. It still angers and sickens me to think that there was a pervert trying to prey upon my kid.

Finding out that the predator is living in your house? Then standing by him in court? I am at a loss.

Yep.

A friend of mine sometimes goes to visit his friend in prison. The man was convicted of having sex with a 14 year old girl, and spends his days in his cell, or isolated from other prisoners for his own safety. To hear my friend tell it, the guy "fell in love" with the girl, and didn't think through the consequences of his actions. He's accepted his fate, and my friend goes to visit him not to validate what he did, but to give his buddy a break from his isolation.

That is how it should be. Eventually he will get out, and will be a registered sex offender, and should never be allowed around children again. According to my friend, this guy understands that, and if he is freed will live his life with those restrictions, but he's resigned himself to living the rest of his life in that cell.
