I have to say that this is the outcome I wanted--that Biden would step aside and endorse Kamala Harris. But what has happened has far exceeded my expectations. The groundswell of support for her has been overwhelming. Not only is the Democratic Party uniting behind her candidacy, but the transition has been extremely smooth, much of it owing to the way that Joe Biden orchestrated it. She has not only inherited his substantial campaign chest and well-organized campaign organization, but she has gained more campaign contributions in her first day than any campaign in history, much of it not from billionaires, but small donors.

There also seems to be an explosion of enthusiasm among GenZ young people regarding this 'brat' video that went viral on TikTok. Harris is embracing the movement:

Just watched the video of Kamala supposedly talking to Biden (audio only from Biden)
She called Biden talking "recording". The voice was like Biden few years back, not recent one.
I think the POS is either clinically dead or does not want to talk.

I loved the Kamala videos (above) so much that I've been crying since I started watching.

If I didn't already say it, I'll say it again: I have BEEN yelling and posting "KAMALA" both with and without the video for the song "Work To Do" by The Isley Brothers, off and on all year, but, moreso recently.

When I read/heard that Joe Biden had retired and posted his farewell on the TwitterX (my name for Elon's Algo toy), I whooped, "KAMALA! KAMALA!" and when Biden endorsed Harris a few minutes (??) later, I whooped "WE WIN!"

The memes are flying, thanks to AI and algorithms and code (hello, fellow pixels). ohh I have been happy with the reaction on Facebook. KAMALA HARRIS is uniting Dems and others against Trump, the GOP, and Project 2025.

She *IS* going to be the first woman President of the USA, the first Black woman, and the first Southeast Asian person. I could not possibly be happier (yes I could: if NJ's Andy Kim were tapped for VP - an unlikely scenario). I am so proud of her and for her. She's been awesome, and, she has improved and gotten better over time.

Just now, watching these videos, I fkn cried through them with happiness. Not exaggerating. I still have tears as I slam this Chromebook keyboard with a few fingers and a thumb. We win. No matter what.

Joe Biden won the 2024 election with Kamala Harris as his chosen proxy, hahaha.

I love love LOVE Trump’s idea of suing Democrats for not going with his preferred candidate. But I’m afraid he might try to get even by dropping out and giving his delegates to someone besides JD Vance. That random person would probably win, but I doubt that Dolt45 would trust them to pardon him.

So, one of her ancestors raped and impregnated an enslaved woman. Fairly ordinary occurrence. Has nothing to do with Harris’s character.

A significant number of black Americans are in fact descended from slave owners as rape was a common, everyday occurrence under slavery. Some of Thomas Jefferson’s descendants can claim ancestry from a POTUS who was also a slave owner. It’s likely that other early presidents who enslaved people also fathered children on women they had enslaved,
