Harris will likely win

The fact that dopey Harris was brought up in a middle class neighborhood with nice lawns should convince Jen and Joe to stick to their guns and vote for cackling Kamala.
TSwizz - your byline says you are from West Hollywood, CA. Sapphire Blue California. From the West Hollywood website

Since its incorporation in 1984, the City of West Hollywood has become one of the most influential cities in the nation for its outspoken advocacy on LGBTQ issues. No other city of its size has had a greater impact on the national public policy discourse on fairness and inclusiveness for LGBTQ people.

I suspect you would not live there if you did not agree with this advocacy.

I neither agree or disagree with these things, they are of no real concern or interest to me.

You may be just posting to get our goat and giggle at the reactions, or you really are a MAGA worshiper. Seems incongruous.

Just because I am not voting for Kamala Harris does not make me a "MAGA worshiper". I am only voting for Trump because I would rather take my chances of four years of Trump than four more years of the democratic shit show we have had to endure. It's pretty straight forward and I have said it enough times now.
What shitshow?

I am a business owner - and my business has done greater revenue then it ever did under Cheato.

Well, apparen
That is a bizarre description of the Telegraph district.
Indeed. I mean just LOOK at those nice lawns!

I take it you've never been to Berkeley
Why go anywhere but Santa Monica? It’s a virtual lock that the climate weather will be worse.
Well, apparently Harris herself said this? So perhaps her memory is going too.
There MUST be one there somewhere.
Hell, if I grew up with a nice lawn on Telegraph, I’d brag too!

Michelle Obama issued an impassioned plea to American voters on Saturday — and, in particular, American men — anchored in a searing and intimate depiction of women’s bodies and reproductive health, and what she described as the life-or-death stakes of returning former President Donald J. Trump to power.

Oh behave Michelle. It looks like cackling Harris campaign of “joy” and “vibes” isn’t enough to seduce the voters into voting for dopey Harris. We must be frightened into voting for Harris as she offers nothing.
"We?" You don't have to worry about someone preventing you from getting the healthcare you need to possibly save your life. Now, if you have a woman in your life who can bear children now or in the future, you might want to think increasing her chances of survival.
Twigs uses "cackling" and "dopey" to describe a woman that does not meet his ideals of how a woman should be - really typically misogynistic
I wonder if that now includes his namesake, Taylor Swift, the Aryan Nazi ideal of what a woman should be. At least until she started talking for herself.

It's a good thing I forgot to use quote tags anyway. :D

On a more optimistic note, Arizona is purpler than it ever used to be. I think it is destined to swing Democratic in the relatively near future. They always fit into the party kind of funny, like all states with a strong libertarian obsession.

Jimmy reminded me that this should be the optimistic thread.
From NYT today 8 reasons the Country is not dying and is not a "shithole"

1 The Economy - the Misery Index = Inflation rate + Unemployment rate

It is lower by 88 percent since 1970.

2 Poverty Rate - Between 1967 and 2021 the poverty rate fell from 26 percent to 7 percent

3 Violent Crime - Homicide rate 4.7 percent since an all time high of 9 in 1979.

4 Life Expectancy - 79.3 years

Next 4 in a minute

The next reasons why the Country is doing great.

5 Happiness index - based on survey by the General Social Survey. It was 76% under Cheato and is no 79%

6 Pollution - Cheato tried to dismantle the EPA and succeeded in laying off scientists, getting rid of 100's of regulations (which Harris and Biden put back into place). It is a common belief that the anti-growth left and the anti-regulation right. Since 1970 the agency conception we consumed 42 % more energy and 4 times economic output, while reducing 78 % principal pollutants.

7 Women's Rights - Although Dobbs was repealed, the project’s Women’s Political Empowerment Index captures, on a scale from 0 to 1, the extent to which women in a country enjoy civil liberties, participate in politics and civil society and hold positions of political power. Women’s empowerment in the United States soared from 0.40 a century ago to .91 in 2009 — and in 2023 it remained at a hair beneath this peak.

8 Democracy - After surging from a score of 0.53 a century ago to 0.91 in 2015, the country lost ground in 2017, but recovered much of it after 2020. As they say, “The best explanation for the good old days is a bad memory.” When we take an objective look at how the country is doing and which way it has been going, we see that American life is not a hellscape of carnage and decline. What stands out is a resilient democracy that tends to recover from setbacks and make halting progress.

Huff Post reporting

El Nuevo Día, Puerto Rico’s largest newspaper, announced its endorsement for Harris on Tuesday following a Sunday campaign event for Trump in which a comedian called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.”

What goes around comes around.

Barring something drastic happening, I think it will be a big win for Harris.
I agree. I expect a 10m vote margin in the popular vote. Whether she will be certified as winner and ultimately inaugurated, is another question. It may depend on Congressional races.

The latest "good news" election predictor I've run across, Race to the WH, gives Harris a 53.4% chance to win, with projected 274.9(?) Electoral Votes.

More good news? They give the Democrats a 69.7% chance to take the House. Very important when it comes to the whole ceremony on January 6h. Speaker Johnson might not be able to pull off his "one trick they don't tell you about" to tip the election, as he might just be Rep. Johnson on that day.

Senate? Not so good. Only a 37.8% chance to win the majority.
