56 and a half by my count. The half came from a "participation award" that one of the cases had improper jurisdiction, but might have had merit if presented prior to the election. I call that a half-loss because they could have had the case at least heard if they didn't wait to first see if they lost in that state. This was a case that exemplified the affect of blatantly saying, "If I win it was a good election, if I lose then you cheated". The court did not buy it... but might have listened to the complaint otherwise.

I fully agree with this.

I think the CPD (or whatever the abbreviation is) was willing cede all sorts of ground in the Capitol, but the protesters got to a point where the CPD wouldn't cede. It isn't justice, but the shooting likely was necessary.

Gotta say, i go with "Justice" as the word, here.

Corporal Babbitt was in Iraq as Air Force Security Force, and in the National Guard for security.. She was stationed as an armed guard at gates to keep unauthorized people out of restricted areas, to protect the people on those bases. She was briefed on the conditions of deadly force, and if this crowd had stormed a military base in Texas a few years ago, she would have been one of those people protecting it, with measures up to and including deadly force.
She did the exact same job as the Capitol Policeman who shot her.

No matter what Trump and others told her about the election, the Democrats, the communists, she should have been under no illusions or misconceptions about what she was doing or what they could be expected to do to stop her.
This isn't even a 'fuck around and find out' example, this is "You're the one w ho briefed the privates on your squad about what to do if terrorists attacked!"

Her epitaph should be Homer Simpson saying, "D'oh!"

Back in 2008, I despised Godzillary. I was willing to support some black kid from Chicago, with little credentials or experience.

Anything but the Bush's and Clinton's tossing the White House between themselves like a banana republic government, pretending that there's an election going on.

With the clarity of hindsight, I wish Clinton had been the Democratic nominee for POTUS with Obama the VP. That bitch would have gotten way more done than Obama did. Real health care reform, not some bipartisan crap that the TeaParty would then obstruct, as an example.

Backroom deals with her billionaire buddies. Screwing the TeaParty Republicans, with plausible deniability. Pushing the TeaParty enablers, such as McConnell, to the brink of political disaster.

Then, in 2016, Obama could have taken over the helm.

Trump would still be banging porno stars and lying to a marginalized set of non-voters. No more important than he was in 2012.

I am sorry it came to this, but c'mon: this was a domestic terrorist trying illegally to get at elected officials when she was shot--a justified shooting I would say. also she was a mature adult who is responsible for her own fact checking and her own willingness to believe an exciting lie that independent thought would have checked. She is no more a tragedy than the 9/11 terrorists who ended up dying. If it's a tragedy, it's a tragedy like Macbeth where a person with a military background believes some tricksters and shends whatever redeeming qualities he may have had, and ends up getting killed in combat.
