There is some truth to his statements. Economic mass migrants from the third world are trying to come to the US and EU by the millions because their countries can reasonably be described as "shithole countries" .

Miami - 45 mi - base of the Florida Keys - 170 mi - Matanzas, Cuba - 540 mi - Guantanamo, Cuba - 130 mi - Jean-Rabel, Haiti - 470 mi - Punta Cana, Dominican Republic - 80 mi - Aguadilla Pueblo, Puerto Rico - 130 mi - San Juan, PR.

With DC - Miami nearly 150 mph and all the rest 50 mph,

DC - 10 h - Miami - 1h - base of Keys - 3h - Matanzas - 11h - Guantanamo - 3h - Jean-Rabel - 9h - Punta Cana - 2h - Aguadilla Puebo - 3h - San Juan

So Miami - San Juan is 32h, and speeding up Cuba and DR/Haiti by a factor of 2 gives 22h. I used Normandie Express ship guide | Brittany Ferries's top speed of 42 knots for the water parts.

Building tunnels and getting the speeds up to 150 mph gets the time down to 10 hours (distance: 1565 mi).

Wow, I have to say that I'm stunned at how Cortez and Warren chased Amazon out of New York. I would love for Amazon (who contributes nothing???) to bring their 25,000 nothing jobs that pay $150,000 a year to the Northwest. The multiplier effect and the sheer amount of taxes paid by these workers would absolutely transform a community. I'm a proud democrat who will not vote for Trump. But it would be dang hard for me to vote for a democrat who would derail so many great jobs for cheap political gain.
