Bidengate Breaks... err... down

The spectacular—again, perhaps temporary—collapse of the deal, as detailed well in the Washington Post, raised the question of whether or not Republicans were correct when they complained that Biden was getting a sweetheart deal because he is President Joe Biden’s son. Exemplifying this coverage was an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal published on Tuesday arguing, “You’d Go to Prison for What Hunter Biden Did.”

The precise contours of the agreement may have had some flaws that seem unrelated to the alleged tax crimes at issue in the case, as perhaps correctly pointed out by the judge. But as someone with more than 30 years of experience for the IRS investigating the exact sorts of tax crimes of which Hunter Biden is accused, I can tell you very firmly: Biden did not get a sweetheart deal. In fact, not only would you not be going to prison if you did what Hunter Biden did, you likely wouldn’t even be charged.

The fact of the matter is no one goes to jail anymore for not paying their taxes on time, as much as the WSJ would like one to think they do.

Take this with a large shaker of salt.

Lev Parnas states here in a letter to James Comer that he and Giuliani were told a story by a Burisma businessman named Vitoli Prusch[sp?] who claimed that during a meeting between Hunter Biden and the Khazaksan minister of foreign affairs, he became extremely intoxicated [ed. with alcohol and drugs] and incapacitated. While he was out Russian FSB agents, Russian Secret Police and [Burisma CEO] Zlochevsky's team copied the contents of his Laptop which was then compromised and manipulated by Russian Intelligence.

Take this with a large shaker of salt.
So Bidens lawyers paid Parnas to say that.

The chronology doesn't add up. Hunter wasn't working for Burisma when the prosecutor got investigated.
And? They asked Biden to fire him and he fired him. That's what email says.
I've gotta say, your posts are more incoherent as time goes on.
it's not me, it's you, chtonology adds up perfectly.

The only reason Hunter Biden with no experience and a drug history got a position on a Ukrainian enery company board was to curry political influence with his father.
No shit. Now demonstrate that Burisma didn't waste their fucking money getting taken for a ride.
They got prosecutor fired by Bidenopolis, did not they?
The chronology doesn't add up. Hunter wasn't working for Burisma when the prosecutor got investigated.

10 minutes of pure nonsense.
"Reopening" means nothing. It's just words. Shokin said - the other guy said.
Timeline my ass. Fucking piece of shit (Biden) could have asked new prosecutor to make it look like it was reopened, so uit does not look suspicious. But only to be closed again.

Fucking inbred american idiots.

So now the concept of time is against Russia??? :hysterical:

A witness in the Republican-led probe of U.S. President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden on Monday said the elder Biden spoke multiple times to his son's associates but did not talk about business deals, according to a Democratic lawmaker.

Former Hunter Biden associate Devon Archer appeared for a closed-door interview led by staff from the U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee, which Republican lawmakers hoped would shed light on unproven allegations that Biden was directly involved in his son's business dealings in Ukraine.

But Democratic Representative Dan Goldman, who attended the interview, told reporters Archer provided no evidence of wrongdoing by the elder Biden. The inquiry is focused on the years when Biden was vice president under President Barack Obama, from 2009-2017.

"There is no evidence that anyone other than Hunter Biden received any money in connection with the business transactions with Devon Archer," Goldman said.

Republican Representative Jim Jordan, a leading panel member who also chairs the House Judiciary Committee, told reporters that the session was productive. He declined further comment.

Goldman said Archer told investigators that Hunter Biden spoke with his father daily while serving on the board of the Ukraine energy company Burisma, and had the then-vice president talk to business associates and others by speaker phone about 20 times over 10 years.

Republicans had expected Archer's description of the phone calls to provide incriminating evidence against Joe Biden.

Republican Representative Andy Biggs, who has already co-sponsored legislation to impeach President Biden, said Archer's testimony implicated the president.

"Archer talked about the 'big guy' and how Hunter Biden always said, 'We need to talk to my guy,'" Biggs told reporters. "I think we should do an impeachment inquiry."

But Goldman said: "It was all casual conversation, niceties about the weather, what's going on. There wasn't a single conversation about any of the business dealings that Hunter had."

House Republicans allege that Hunter Biden used his father's status as vice president in an influence peddling scheme while he was at Burisma nearly a decade ago.

I don't think that the testimony will sink the committee, whose purpose is to go after Joe Biden politically. If they were really interested in how the children of presidents and other public officials gain from their parents' government offices, then they would be investigating Trump's children, as well. Anyway, the following Fox News clip is interesting in the way Fox News tries to spin the investigation as worth having. The Fox interviewer asks his legal analyst to help him find any evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden in the House testimony. The analyst struggles to find some way to help him, but he spends the entire interview gently pointing out that there is nothing there to cast a shadow on Biden. In fact, he even brings up Jared and Ivanka at one point, since the interviewer is so obviously not interested in anything but the partisan spin.

I have a bridge in Black Sea, Representative Goldman might be interested in acquiring it.

GOP is not really interested in investigating and removing that corrupt piece of shit from office.
GOP, that is establishment, hates Trump more than Biden. Trump is unpredictable piece of shit, Biden is predictable and they can work with him.

There are no good people in US Congress, both parties are scum, trumpers are scum too. They are all different types of scum.
I blame both parties establishments for the current state. None of them represent american people, they represent only their donor oligarchs.

At the DC level politicos and influence is very skilled and nuanced. I saw it in corporate politics. Meaning and quid pro quo does not have to be explicitly expressed. The expression was 'learning to play politics'.

Trump and family are clumsy and inexperienced with no nuance and political skill.. Biden is a highly skilled seasoned hardball politician behind his public facade of the aw shucks down home blue collar working class hero.

Lincoln's down home backwoods poor boy rough and ready image was a political fabrication no different tan anything doe today. His iconic beared image was created by political operatives of the day.

I prefer Biden of Trump, but to me Biden is one of typical upper political class.

The only reason Hunter Biden with no experience and a drug history got a position on a Ukrainian enery company board was to curry political influence with his father.

There may be nothing legally wrong with any funds paid to Hunter Biden, but I think it was an obvious quid pro quo. It does not have to be explicit. Just a wink and a nod and an execution of a possible future payoff.

Look at what has come out about Supreme Cort judges on expensive vacation jaunts with the wealthy. Of course they claim 'political and legal issues were never discussed', at least not explicitly.

I just hope that whatever does come out about Biden is not serious enough to give Trump amunition.
What is the Quid pro quo? I hope that you aren't honestly trying to say that "it does not have to be explicit, just a wink and a nod and an execution of a possible future payoff". A future act that hasn't happened yet is a quid pro quo? You going to hold that same standard for all government leaders? How about CEOs? Bankers? Yikes this standard would have half the country in jail.

Wow, you are that naive.
Yes, that is quid pro quo. You do your work in Congress or in the government and then payoff happens when you retire and get Board of Directors of few companies which liked your work in the Congress/government. If you want to stay in the government then you have to have children and relatives, otherwise you would have to use stock tips to get by to your retirement on Board of Directors.
Dumbfucks in Congress are remarkably successfull in the stock market.

Piece of shit Joe Biden initially claimed he did not even know that his son worked for Burisma.
Now, how dumb Biden has to be to claim that he did not take part in these shenanigans, when a 5 year old would know that Hunter is not qualified for anything besides wiping his ass. The mere fact that Biden knew and did not say "Hunter, you resign tomorrow"
means he was on it. And Joe, the corrupt piece of shit Biden knows it, that's why he initially lied about knowing Busrisma.
If that piece of shit was a little bit smarter he would have said "Yes, I knew about that and my son is the most qualified person for the job"
That would have been a better lie than what he actually did because you could not have pinned pin him down with that.

So, Corrupt Piece of Shit war criminal Biden was paid 3.5 millions to keep the corrupt russian oligarch Elena Baturina off the sanctions list.
Nice.

It's time to start investigation in Russia into Baturina financing Biden crime family.

Well, if future potential quid pro quo is now a crime then every single member of the US government, all CEOs and anyone in management should be thrown in jail immediately. You're very lucky that there is no corruption in Russia.

Did I mention Russia anywhere?
Of course described algorithm involves some communication and winking. But this is how it works in US.
Since you mentioned Russia, corruption there is more explicit.

There was/is a russian billionaire in US. I remember his interview to some russian paper, it was probably 15 years ago. In it he talked about his business in US.
He was a laser physicist in USSR and emigrated after the fall of USSR. Started a fiber-optics company in US. Great products and everything, but he could not get any government contracts at all, that until he met one retired US general who convinced him to hire him to a Board of Directors. After that things improved drastically. Suffice to say, retired general knew shit about lasers and fiber-optics, he knew where the all restrooms are in the Congress/Pentagon, though.

That’s important stuff. So is making sure that Russian sympathizers are not put in sensitive positions in the US.
Do you know of any American scientists who defected to Russia, and were allowed to operate their own Companies Without constraint?

That's a big part of what Made America Great in the first place.

A Nation of Immigrants

That's a big part of why I consider Trump and the Teaparty UnAmerican. They tried to end that.
