Democrats 2020

What should really put the fear of bejesus into you are the likes of an AOC and her loony rantings about a Green New Deal and other crazy extreme socialist ideology that would destroy you and your descendents [sic] way of life by bankrupting the country within months!

Bullshit on a didgeridoo.
Giving away more than 2 trillion dollars to his best donors didn't cause Cheato to crash the economy that Obama rescued. Why would universal health care (which would reduce overall healthcare costs), free college (which would produce far more earnings and high earners than it would cost), mitigating the effects of climate change (which will cost far less than failure to do so) or any of the other proposals you call crazy, have more of a deleterious effect on the economy than offshoring 2 trillion dollars for Cheato's friends, buying us nothing but fatter coffers for Republican con- paigns?
You really are saturated with the fearmongering right's propaganda. Like the rest of the alt-white, you are blatantly shitting your pants in terror over phantom demons. You obediently pull them down for a fresh pair, and your right wing extremist heroes are waiting right there to run off with your wallet. How many times will you let that happen?

Spoken like a true dedicated follower of a Castro, Stalin, Chavez, Maduro, and of course, Marx himself! Whatever happened to JFK's ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for the your country.

We're asking for the rich to do more for their country instead of hoarding wealth for themselves.

Ok, so I see the argument for the telescope. What are the arguments against? I'm honestly curious.

The only valid argument (and it's an excellent one) is: "It's our land, and we said fuck off".

If it's their land, then they need no other argument.

If it's not their land, then no argument is of any value at all.

Forget science, astronomy, religion, tradition, and any other crap.

The question is simple: To whom does the land belong?

Simple doesn't mean easy. But it does mean that we can and must ignore the distractions of religion and science.

Who owns this land? It's that simple.

I suspect that the Hawaiians do. But I doubt that the protestors speak for all Hawaiians in this issue. And it may be that the government owns the land. And they don't speak for all Hawaiians either - other than in law.

It's an intractable problem. The Hawaiian and/or US governments need to work out with the Hawaiians (all of them, not just those who protest) who owns the land.

Discussions about science, astronomy, gods, superstitions, opinions, and religion, are irrelevant.

The question; The ONLY question, is "whose land is it".

That's a question for negotiating teams. It's as clear as mud who owns it.

That's just the problem. I had read the subject widely. I have around 12 books in my Kindle on the subject.
A person so learned on the subject based on the books in his Kindle on the subject, yet doesn't mention a single notable social democrat name from America's history.

Yeah, I know someone with the Bible on her Nook. She still insists that I'm 'making shit up' when I say that Noah was on the ark for a year, or that some animals were taken on board in 7's not 2's.
Owning the book, in whatever form, doesn't make you an expert.

If only the Dems were half as good as the right routinely portrays them as.

Also, there's the ape effect:

Also there are tons of books with bullshit in them from cover to cover, books don't make you knowledgeable even though you won't be knowledgeable without them

So how about that debate.

Delaney and Ryan got fried, Pete was articulate and vacuous as usual, Warren and Sanders demonstrated why a combined ticket with them regardless of who is in which spot would be unstoppable in the general, and pundits are saying "Biden won because nobody talked about him"

...so you can't actually argue the points. All you can do is say "it sounds like bad guys".
Weak sauce, angelo. You need to troll better.

BTW, what you can do for your country (if you were American) would be to help pass universal health care, reduced college costs, student loan forgiveness, mitigate the effects of climate change, and get dark money (that is the stuff that feeds your alt-white paranoia) out of politics. You ask what happened to ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for the your country.? The GOP is what happened to it. Now it's "ask what we can steal for our donors".

I agree it was a very good night for the progressive wing. I came away hoping there would be a place for several of them in a new administration. Even Marianne Williamson had good points to make from the outskirts of the far left. Buttigieg made several solid remarks including this one:
“It is time to stop worrying about what the Republicans will say,” Buttigieg said. “It's true that if we embrace a far-left agenda, they're gonna say we're a bunch of crazy socialists. If we embrace a conservative agenda, you know what they're gonna do?”

“They're gonna say we're a bunch of crazy socialists. So let's just stand up for the right policy, go out there and defend it,” he continued.

That's what the voters really want and deserve. There was a really wide range of viewpoints, and it stood in sharp contrast to the carnival show that was the Republican primary. And I really liked the fact that it was tightly moderated.

“I don’t understand why anybody goes to all the trouble of running for president of the United States just to talk about what we really can’t do and shouldn’t fight for,” Warren said. “I don’t get it.”

Secretary of Spiritual Defense?

"We must not allow a sage stick gap!"

There isn't really a rational one. The minority of native Hawaiians who oppose the project also tend to be monarchists who want to secede from the Union and bring back the Kingdom of Hawaii and the rest of the opposition are mostly those who like to step on progressive-sounding bandwagons.

Do you live in Hawaii, Derec? Or otherwise have rare insight into what the majority and the minorities of native Hawaiians want?
I am truly curious, having had several years of close contact with parts of that community some years back. Talk such as you referenced was generally met by native Hawaiians at that time, with the same amused derision that the white wing now bestows upon it.

"I swear your honor, I only hit 'submit' once!"

Yea, let's eat the rich! While we're at it, why not destroy all and any kind of incentive so all can live in equal poverty!

Can you point to the place on the doll where a progressive hurt you?

Ziprhead mentioned the word 'hoard' which means something. In general, it means to have more money than you can do something with. Some Americans have so much wealth it is impossible for them to become unwealthy. That is too much wealth.
