Right but Hayley has a national presence. Vance doesn’t really, except for his book, which is no threat to Trump. Hayley IS —she has her own mind and agenda. Vance is too unknown to be a threat that Trump can recognize. Besides, I’m not certain how much choice Trump had.
Plus, I don’t think Trump has much use for women other than as alternative spots to place his dick.
There were multiple women in his Cabinet and as his advisors and press secretaries.

Since 2016 we've had Crazy Don. In the last few months we've had Crazy Senile Don. Maybe he needs to up his drug doses to get the fire back and become as attractive a candidate again. He hasn't changed his tactics. He's like an old athlete about whom it's obvious he can't compete at the same level anymore yet continues to blame everyone else for his lost talent while he struggles and loses on the field. He's still much a fan favorite to many but his time has passed.

That isn't delusion, that is riffing on his false narrative of the Venezuelan government is sending their criminals across the southern border. I mean, yes, the idea is preposterous, but Trump's major issue is the border. So he is going to push it in every way he can. His base loves it!
And lets not forget the latest US Russia prisoner exchange. He gushed about Putin and what a great deal he got. Orangey ought to get his lips permanently sewn to Putin's ass.

What makes you think Trump cares whether he was played or not? It doesn’t affect his wealth and he will always blame someone else.
I have thought he was in cognitive decline since 2016, which, to be fair, is the first time I ever paid him much attention. I frankly avoided ever watching or listening to him because I don’t have a lot of use for egomaniacal blowhards. During that campaign, NPR played an old interview with him that had to have been 20 years old at that point and frankly what I heard was an egomaniac/blowhard but someone with full use of his ( limited) faculties. Contrasting that with the 2016 version and yeah, I saw or rather heard significant decline between the old Trump and the 2016 version. The old interview displayed someone who cared only about himself and his very narrow range of interests. 2016 showed someone who was steeply declining into what one expects of a doddering self centered individuals: more self interest than anything else, and absolutely zero sincerity about anything. It’s no secret I detest the man but in 2016 I was willing to listen and give him a fair shot at demonstrating something that could appeal or some concern for his country and a vision of what he could bring to improve the lives of other people. This was never his long suit and he’s not much of an actor. There are no hidden depths to the man. His idea of making a deal is that someone gets screwed and he’d prefer it not be him. He’ll lie, cheat and steal to ensure that it’s not him—and usually, it is not because most people do try to do a good job at whatever it is they are doing. But even in 2016, his vocabulary was unusually limited, he spoke almost entirely in hyperbole and self-aggrandizing statements.
Indeed, I'm tiring of this "better deal" stuff. The only time Trump got a great deal was when he was fucking over someone on the blacker side of gray of legality (at best).
