One of my return to foods. Cheese & Egg in the Oven. Though I do tend to add to it. As the picture shows it's cheese with egg and put in oven till eggs set and cheese melts.

This time I added some of the yolks towards the end because I wanted to try it with a runny yolk. It's a cheesy eggy slice of heaven.

Best to loosen the edges when the plate first comes out the oven.

What the hell is that? It looks like a leprechaun vomited.
I would think leprechaun vomit would consist mostly of this

Wait, is that one of those sweet bagels? Ew!
it is not just one of them, it is the very sweetest of sweet bagels.
The bagel it'self is flavored like Fruit Loops
The cream cheese is mixed with Pillsbury's Funfetti

and it is then stuffed with cotton candy.

This is a link to a recipe for making chocolate mousse using only chocolate and water: Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse with Fleur de Sel

I'm calling bullshit on this. I tried, and tried again. I whipped it so hard I had chocolate on the ceiling. In the end, I went to malwart and bought some coolwhip and blended it in - that saved it. Anyone else brave enough to try?

Thanks. I'm going to have nightmares. :p

My recipe for Pumpkin soup:

1 x Onion (169g) - chopped into 1cm pieces
1 x Leek (178g) - chopped into roughly 1cm pieces
1 x Sweet Potato (569g) - chopped into 1inch pieces
Kent Pumpkin (1241g) - chopped into 2 inch pieces
1.2L water
Sprinkle each of: tumeric, cumin, garam masala, curry powder.

Cook until tender and blitz in a blender or with a stick blender - until smooth.

We think this will make 10 serves, each of 347kj, without the sour cream or yoghurt.

Serve with sour cream or greek yoghurt or as it is.

We will be enjoying this with a fresh crusty bread roll.

a few weeks back, my sister made a 'banana pudding' that involved jello and such, and i found it disagreeable. thus i made one from scratch, which is more difficult than one might think. meringue is a *bitch*. but it worked and was delightful. tonight i'm expanding - i'm making a sweet potato pudding with ginger snaps instead of nilla wafers. everyone i've run this idea by has reacted with horror. to me, bananas and sweet potatoes are alike - sweet, starchy, good. am i off my nut? we shall see....

oh, i spiked the banana pudding with saffron, this one gets cardamon

Good old fashioned beef stew for dinner tonight. Trying to make a healthy version, and I think we did it!

To be served with a crusty bread roll - should be delicious.

An unusual one this. I wanted a starter but had no idea what to do.

Bought some stuff at random

Choriza

Mozzarella

Bagel

Added some ham. Still missed something - remembered I'd bought some custard. Stirred in some soy and oyster sauces and baked until bubbly.
