There is nothing like homemade guacamole, but for me there is a very fine line between underseasoned (there is little in this world more disappointing than than underseasoned guacamole) and holyshitgreenpastysaltlick!

It's come to the point that I will buy an extra avocado just in case the latter happens.

I wanted a proper dinner tonight and decided to fry a frozen ground beef patty with some bacon and carmelized onion jam. I then steamed some asparagus and piled it on top with salt and pepper. Surprisingly delicious.

My brother has become a barbeque aficionado. Of course he makes his own sauce. One near trick of his is to add Japanese tonkatsu sauce (Bulldog brand is widely available in American supermarkets) and sriracha, which has tasty results.

I usually dislike barbeque sauce because I find the spice combinations overly complicated, but I like his.

Tasting that made me want to try mixing gochujang and barbeque.

Caramelised. Turned into caramel. Caramel has three syllables, and two 'a's.

Bloody leftpondians, dropping entire syllables willy-nilly.

Doubly hemispherist! Both directions!

Tonight we had honey mustard chicken stir fry.

I generally use teriyaki or a ginger/chilli mix for my stir frying, and use the honey/mustard 'glaze' for 'roasting' our chicken breast. Tonight I tried the honey/mustard in the stir fry, and it was quite delicious. And a pleasant change from our usual fare.

I keep getting that one wrong.

Someone posted this recipe on my Facebook feed, and I tried it. Real yummy. You have to scroll down annoyingly far to get to the actual recipe. I didn't bother measuring the amounts (or even looking at them in the recipe until after I cooked it). In fact I'm positive I used far more olive oil than they suggested.

  1. Cauliflower florets + big freezer bag + olive oil
  2. Shaky shaky
  3. + salt + bread crumbs + Parmesan
  4. Shaky shaky
  5. Dump in pans
  6. 20 minutes @ 425[ent]deg[/ent]F
  7. Stir stirrey stir
  8. 10 minutes @ 425[ent]deg[/ent]F
  9. Om nom nom nom
