How should west respond to potential (likely) Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Wounded Russian soldiers are being sent back to the front instead of being allowed to recuperate.

I usually don't want to write about internal matters of the USA.
However, I have to now, because Trump is clearly Putin's puppet.

And there are many others too...
Check this movie. It tells a lot of the dangers:
Orangey wants money. He doesn't care how he gets it or where it comes from so long as he doesn't get caught because getting caught costs money. He wants to build casinos in Russia, China, NK, anywhere he can to make money so he's gonna chummy-up to whoever it takes.

Trump is also a traitor to his country.

Sand Creek was one our country's low points. Just meaningless, coldly premeditated butchery. But you see how easy it is to get there, people are still quick to excuse savageries while they are happening. It's only after it's too late to help anyone that the nation suddenly grows a spine and a conscience.

Everyone should open the link - it is quite unbelievable for any western reader, but the video tells it all.
Or almost all:
The reason why wounded and sick soldiers are sent back to the front to die:

  • They won't need to be taken care of, not even after the war ends.
  • A more significant reason is that if they were sent home after receiving hospital treatment, they would reveal the truth about what is actually happening on the front and how miserable the state of this "victorious and brave army" really is.
Soldiers killed in this manner have their daily allowances taken, as they are not officially reported as dead for a long time:
  • The commanding officers pocket the daily allowances.
  • The command doesn't have to officially report the actual number of losses.
Later on, these "ghost units" are reported as missing. Since they are missing, they can be accused of desertion or something similar. In any case, their families are not entitled to compensation "because the body was not found."

The higher leadership is aware of this system but does nothing to stop it because it suits them: Fresh blood is sent to the front, the system keeps running, and all the paperwork is in order, so no foul play can be proven.

All the cogs in the machine must run together. That is how the machine moves forward and it is well-oiled – with bloody money.

These "dead souls" or "ghost units" were already in use in the czar army - nothing new in the Russian machinery.

Also, most of the trolls know all this, but as long as they/he spread the most disgusting rumours and lies, he himself doesn't have to go to the frontlines.
And the trolls get paid according to how many comments they can create - that is why they act and write totally against all reason.
And then there are also "the useful idiots" as Lenin called them.
Yes, the machinery has many levels.

Russia Offers Asylum to YouTubers Paid by TENET Media to Promote Russia & Trump

The Department of Justice has indicted Russian nationals Kostiantyn Kalashnikov and Elena Afanasyeva with conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
They work for RT News and funnelled $10 million to Canadian influencer Lauren Chen and her husband Liam Donovan to create an American based media company to promote Russia and Donald Trump and weaken support for Ukraine.

Tenet Media then paid right-wing influencers such as Tim Pool, Matt Christiansen, Dave Rubin, Tayler Hansen, Benny Johnson and Lauren Southern to promote Trump and Russia to their already large audiences on social media to affect the outcome of the 2024 election.

Putin said there are no homosexuals in Russia, maybe it is a case of 'he doth protest too much'.

Maybe Putin's real problem stems from repressed sexuality.

If those peoples are convicted i'd say take away any US passports and send them to Russia where they can live in the country they support. A fitting punishment.

???
Sorry, I did not understand.
An indictment charging Russian nationals Kostiantyn Kalashnikov, 31, also known as Kostya, and Elena Afanasyeva, 27, also known as Lena, with conspiracy to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) and conspiracy to commit money laundering was unsealed today in the Southern District of New York. Kalashnikov and Afanasyeva are at large.

Don't jail thm, send them back to mother Russia and Moscow where hey have to deal with Ukrainian drones.

No doubt it will, alas, be known as the first.
When this war first erupted, my big fear for the future of humanity was nukes. Even small tactical nukes, once they became a thing, would be disastrous for everyone.

Now I worry more about drone warfare. Even a tiny nuke requires a big investment in infrastructure to make it. Only governments have that. But drones, increasingly cheap and available, are quite different. Small groups of people could build and deliver a drone almost anywhere.

As an ugly example,
imagine if some group wanted to bring down the USA economy. Try hitting a few big box stores or malls with drones on black Friday, and make Christmas shopping feel dangerous to the American consumers. Drones that could be delivered by a delivery truck that doesn't even need to park to launch the thing at a crowded place.

Ugh,
Tom

If the seemingly incessant shooting at malls has not already made shopping feel unsafe in the US then the drones would not make much that difference.
