Moved Live Trump Trial Updates

To denote the thread has been moved
You can prosecute him at any time but doing it while he is campaigning for another go is just giving him publicity
Not “just” giving him publicity; it’s also informing those many who have not been paying attention, that Trump is a lying scumbag mobster who wants to be a dictator.

And if he loses, he will continue to claim he can't be prosecuted because he's a candidate. He will be campaigning for the rest of his life.

Would these trials and all this fuss be happening if Trump was not a serious contender for the presidency?
No, they’d be over by now and Cheato would be serving 50 years to life.

And btw he is NOT a serious contender for the presidency. The only thing serious about that guy is his mental illness.
Then why is so much time & effort spent trying to 'stop' him? Surely it would be better to just ignore him. Bringing up all these legal trials now is not ignoring him.

Do you believe if we just ignore Trump then the multiple violations of State and Federal laws won't matter?
Of course they matter. But you are given him lots of free kicks and publicity right at the moment you do not want him to have it. Trump is a living version of the dictum - any publicity is good publicity
We're talking about fraud, extortion, unlawful retention of classified documents, election interference, and more. It's not like those Attorneys General are going after him for unpaid parking tickets.
Yes indeed
So how do you prosecute an ex-president of the US without press attention? It's "unpresidented".
You can prosecute him at any time but doing it while he is campaigning for another go is just giving him publicity as I noted earlier. You will always get press attention but timing and its consequences are important.
It's his own tactic to delay, delay, delay why these trials are happening now. And that tactic will continue.

During a sidebar, Hope Hicks fidgeted a little bit on the witness stand. She scratched the side of her neck and adjusted her hair. Then she took a deep breath and looked down, then let one rip.

Hey, when in Rome...

How good is the "firewall" preventing Jury from watching TV or hearing opinions on the case on their days off?

So the Judge will instruct Defendant that he misspoke to the cameras; that he still has full right to testify in his own defense. (If I were the Judge I'd want to humiliate the scumbag, asking him to repeat my instruction in his own words.)

I think the Jury will NOT be present during this instruction. But I think they should be. If the "firewall" failed, they may think the "gag order" prevents Trump from testifying. That this is false is a relevant fact which should be brought to Jury's attention.

I know Y'all like business updates from the venerable Business Insider, but you may have missed this.
Donald 'Von ShitzInPantz' has now formally been entered into the
public record at Trump's hush-money trial
Things got weird when his defense attorney Todd Blanche complained that Trump must remain silent about witnesses and jurors while his opponents get to say "anything they want."

That's when President Joe Biden and Donald "Von ShitzInPants" made their bizarre cameo appearances on the official trial record.
...
"President Trump can't respond to that" by criticizing Daniels, Blanche said Thursday to the judge ...
But Trump must remain silent, Blanche added, even when Cohen mocks him as Donald "Von ShitzInPantz,"
I'm sure Cheato appreciates HIS OWN LAWYER mentioning that most appropriate nickname in Court. :hysterical:

Not prosecuting a criminal for his crimes because it is not politically convenient would be giving in to the idea that this prosecution is politically motivated. Better to let it all play out as it would for any criminal on trial for his crimes.

This just in: Judge tells Trump "look, if you don't stop, I'm pulling this court over. Sit down and shut up or you'll be sorry."

The 10 Contemptments

Judge Juan M. Merchan has again held Trump in contempt of court and fined him another $1,000 for violating the gag order, sternly warning the former president of the possibility of jail for future violations.

He said Trump’s statement “threaten to interfere with the fair administration of justice and constitute a direct attack on the rule of law. I cannot allow that to continue.”

“As much as I don’t want to impose a jail sanction,” the judge added, “I want you to understand that I will have to if necessary and appropriate.”

Trump is a child. The judge will have to take his toy (phone) away before he will comply. It is really not that hard to comprehend judge.

This makes me think of another device our National Toddler once had -- may have again -- about which he said, to Kim Jung Un, "I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!"
This impulsive, irascible, tantrum diva is some Americans' idea of the ideal President. We've lost our minds.

The "surprise" witness today is Stormy herself, and Trump's team is up in arms because "we didn't have time to prepare!"

Really? You had no idea she might be called to testify in the "New York Stormy Daniels Hush Money" trial?

After pulling out a gun, the Judge threatens Prosecutors with death if they go into any nauseating details of Trump and Daniels.

Defense prosecutors demand immediate mistrial after two jurors visibly vomited after Daniels describes the "spanking".

Oh, poor Melania. She's nothing less than a steadfast modern day Loretta Lynnsky, standing stoically by her noble man; a billionaire that had to pay money to have sex with a porn actress. She's the most courageous First Lady in American history.

Where is Melania anyway? Why isn't the press all over this. I recall Hillary having to suffer the indignities of Bill's blowjob... or maybe when shame and dignity don't exist as a concept it doesn't really matter.

It's theater for the jury. They knew and they're prepared.

Technically, he paid her to forget they had sex. You'd think she would want to do that for free; why would anyone want to remember that nightmare?

Tammy Wynette stood by her man...at least, the second husband.

Today's headline, if I wrote it: TRUMP CAUSES MASSIVE INFLATION
Stormy: It was a mini-toadstool, give or take.
Trump: It is the mighty Orange-Pink Speckled Woman Tamer, as anyone can tell you.
