So this time Trump committed obstruction of justice right on Twitter for all the world to see.

Giuliani and Sarah Sanders are trying to pull the "He was expressing an opinion, therefore it's not obstruction of justice" argument. Just curious what excuse the conservolibertarians are using for this one.

He's created such a mess. First, he dictates the response to DOJ officials that his son types, filling it with lies, thus obstructing justice. And involving HIMSELF. Trump's defenders are so used to thinking of his lies as normal behavior that they have gone completely tone deaf. The argument they seem to be wanting to make is that Trump is actually innocent, but he just says false things that make him look guilty. Or maybe things that appear to be false but that, when squinted at in just the right way, aren't false. So he should be given special leeway to lie his heart out on his Twitter feed but never in a situation while under oath. Well, it's too late for that. He already took his oath of office, and he lied his heart out at the time.

And based on recent history, in a few hours, Giuliani will announce that an announcement will come out on some later day.
