Here is a thing. Women tend to like cheap unscripted shows where women basically bitching about relationships and gossips.
These shows cost literally nothing to produce, all you need is a good relatable personality like Oprah.
Men generally like scripted, expensive to produce shows with actual plot which spans years.

I did a google search to try to see how much criticism Oprah got on StormFront. From what I could observe, the comments there were about twice as bad as here. So, if it's any consolation, we could be doing a lot worse...

Your Ilk has dropped denying that it goes on, now they are arguing that it is a good thing to have e.g. more black doctors even if that means discriminating against white and Asian applicants to med school. Hostility on the Left to standardized tests and other objective measures over subjective measures like essays or "personality scores" is also part of this rot.

And note that when they tried getting rid of the objective measures during Covid they found the result was admissions even more favored the rich. Yes, they can game the SAT to some degree, but the fuzzier the measure the easier it is to game with money.

Understood. But she was then loudly defended on here. I do not get the appeal.
But I have noticed that before. Rich celebrities (athletes, musicians etc.) tend to be supported on the Left as much as those who became rich starting or developing businesses (Kochs, Musk, Bezos) get demonized. Beyonce good, Bezos bad. Lebron James good, Larry Ellison bad.

The problem is the ones that do it by developing businesses tend to be too aggressive about it. There have been a lot of objections to Amazon's efforts to improve efficiency--sorry, but humans don't have 100% uptime! "Optimum" efficiency is brittle--and they blame the workers for when this happens.

Celebrities generally make their money by providing luxury value rather than by providing necessities.

Just because you think something is stupid doesn't mean other people don't find it enjoyable, that it shouldn't be profitable, or that people who profited from producing and starring in it aren't allowed to speak of the hardships they faced along the way to achieving their fame and fortune.

Yep and it’s long been known that SAT scores are heavily correlated with the socioeconomic attainment of the parents.
