First thought: This is a satirical spoof.

Second thought: If real, what is the job? Is it a recruiting ad for the military's Officer's Candidate School? The pay looks about right but too high for recruiting for starting in the enlisted ranks.

That aside there are some degrees that are pretty much worthless because there is no demand except maybe if there is a rare opening at some university to teach students that also are not thinking of how they will make a living with that degree.

Back in the housing mess I found an ad looking for a programmer, I forget what language. $10/hr. I can believe some idiots are bottom fishing.

This is the kind of 'cargo cult' idiocy that the right wing cannot distinguish from actual political humour.

For it to be funny, it would have to 'punch up' rather than down; And to avoid being horribly vicious and un-provoked, it would need some basis in truth.

The reality is that if you look closer, most of it is systemic protestantism - and had that been the punchline, it might even have qualified as satire, if not actual humour.

As it is, it's just Schrödinger's racism - an unprovoked and vile attack on a minority, that protects its originators and disseminators behind the smokescreen of 'hey man, it's just a joke, lighten up!'.

But it's not even a joke. Never mind 'just'.
