Racism And Kamala Harris

Has anyone ever actually seen Trump laugh? I don't mean the little "hehheh" he does after he insults someone, but an actual laugh.
He's a maladjusted and insecure non-year-old. They don't laugh either. Arizona's Mark Kelly was talking about this very thing. Does anyone remember Leon Panetta? That mofo laughed all the time.
Just ran across this. I haven't read it yet but I thought it was apropos.

The last two paragraphs and the summary.

Few true enjoyment smiles. By contrast, Donald Trump rarely looks happy. Smiles that occur when someone is really enjoying themselves involve not only zygomaticus major, AU12, but also constriction of the muscles around the eyes (orbicularis oculi ) especially in the lateral area that create crow’s feet (FACS AU6; Ekman et al., 1990). Even in contexts when he should be most happy—in the midst of adulation from his base during a rally—we see posturing, but not joy. I have never seen him laugh. Perhaps he laughs and enjoys himself on the golf course—I hope it is so!—but I am not privy to close-up shots of his face in the midst of a golf game.

Taken together, what does this all mean? As I implied earlier, facial expressions and other displays of emotion do not tell us their causes: We need to consult context. Considered across their many contexts and repeated display, Trump’s facial repertoire suggests these things to me about the 45th President of the United States:

  • He has a great deal of fear under the surface.
  • He tries to position himself as superior to others, whether he truly sees himself that way or not.
  • He is rarely happy.

As a side note.
Darwin made some amazing observations about the muscle used when smiling.
Even if you force a smile it can make you feel better!

Once again, with Trump every accusation is a confession.

Omarosa Manigault Newman called out Trump during an appearance on CNN’s Laura Coates Live Wednesday night, saying that she distinctly remembered him identifying as Swedish, “because he didn’t want to acknowledge that his father was German and his mother was Irish, and he thought that that would play better to those who were patronizing his businesses.”

“So can we call the question, his past of self-identifying as first Swedish, then German, and then Irish whenever it’s convenient?”

So Trump turned Irish, but he was always German?

Someone should look into that.

Dog whistle megaphone.
Holy shit - that is right out there, innit?

And millions of people will have nbo problem with it.

It's kind of hard to figure out how Trump supporters would rationalize it as not referring to the race of the basketball player and the presidential candidate. What category of person is represented with the words "one" and "some" in "smart ones and some that aren't quite so good"? What makes Byron Donalds and Kamala Harris the same type of person when judging smartness?

Think about it; She's a PROSECUTOR.
In San Francisco, California which is by far the most liberal place in the US.

If "radical" means at the extreme ends of the political ideologies, then certainly KH has met that definition during the whole time she was a Senator. Only surpassed by Elizabeth Warren, who occupies the #1 spot:
I gotta disagree. KH or Warren are nowhere near AOC or Tailib, Well, maybe Liz Warren is somewhere near them, but not quite IMHO.
There's a LOT of room to the left of Kami Harris, believe me. Think about it; She's a PROSECUTOR. Almost by definition a redneck conservative, by the yardstick that was in play 40 years ago. Things HAVE moved to the right since then, but no so much as to leave Harris stranded on the left bank, as you imply.

You seem to have missed the last sentence in my post:

But if by radical, you mean just plain kind of batshit crazy, then yes I would agree that KH is certainly not at Talib or Bush's level.

To be honest, she's a bit of an enigma, and I haven't quite figured her out. On the one hand, her voting record is there in black-and-white, and compared to her fellow senators, she is clearly at the far left during her whole role as a senator. I don't see how you can dispute that. But at the same time, like you say, she has done some things back in her CA prosecutor & AG days that put her kind of in a right wing authouratian camp. I certainly don't have a problem with someone who has both liberal and conservative values in moderate doses (that's how I am), but at the two extremes in a close span of time is...as she would say...really weird.
Ill make it simple for you. She is a puppet pure and simple. Who ever is really running the country right now will be pulling her strings as well.

I've lost track of the number of times I've been told that being an Independent makes me just as bad as the most rabid evil trumpsucker maggat fascist nazi to ever breathe.
I consider myself to be independent as well.

They say that during the French Revolution the independents and peacemakers were the very first to lose their heads. Because rather than seeing your independent idea's both sides thing you are completely against them.

The quotes in the last three posts are seriously FUBAR. Words have been put in my mouth that I didn't say.
You can always use the “report” function to ask moderators to fix quote attribution tags. Just give us the info we need to find it, and we can do our best. The quote tags are easy to mess up, unfortunately, when the user is toggled in the wysiwyg mode, resulting in misattributes.

I see two mis-quotes, and I’ve fixed them. Please let me know where the others are by reporting the posts.

A puppet for whom?

I mean, when I accuse Trump
of being a puppet for Vlad Utin, it's because I can see the financial strings leading back to Moscow.

But you have nothing; Just a vague assertion that Harris is the puppet of one of the other eight billion people currently on the planet. A vague assertion for which you have exactly zero evidence.

Even if we were to accept your bizzare claim that she will be a tyrant if elected, there is still no reason to think she is anyone's puppet - indeed, those two positions contradict one another.

Which do you think she is: A tyrant, or a puppet? She can't be both, unless the puppetmaster is outside the USA. So which country do you think is pulling her strings?

Americans claiming to be "independents" but are not politically independent are quite common. See this Pew Research article:

Political Independents: Who They Are, What They Think

Independents often are portrayed as political free agents with the potential to alleviate the nation’s rigid partisan divisions. Yet the reality is that most independents are not all that “independent” politically. And the small share of Americans who are truly independent – less than 10% of the public has no partisan leaning – stand out for their low level of interest in politics...

See the article for more detail.
