That wouldn't constitute an appeal. It would only mean that you wish to appeal. From what I've read he has no grounds to appeal because Habba screwed the pooch all along the way. And appealing on the grounds that your lawyer was incompetent is categorically not grounds in this case. In this case any appeal granted is granted on objections raised during the trial. Habba screwed the pooch repeatedly here by not objecting.
Right. I’m saying that even if he could, he prob’ly shouldn’t. It will be cheaper to just not pay. If someone tries to seize anything he can fight it in court while he grifts off the “illegal seizure”.
He could get by with posting 10% if he finds a bail bondsman to guarantee the rest. Fat chance.

I don't think an actual "bail bondsman" is involved. here's a link that covers all the bases with regards to how much money and when Orange has to cough up to make an appeal. He will have to jump through some serious hoops. He posted 5 mil cash for the first appeal but this is much more and likely will involve more than cash. But Orange may just do the cash thing again. But then there's the fraud trial and its costs to Orange. Anyway, good article that lays it all out.

Seized how? Does he own anything he doesn’t owe more than it’s worth?
The property can still be siezed and he would still owe the creditors his debt.

A humiliation for Orange by any standard. Not that Orange has any shame, for him it's all a game. He's been bailed out in the past but I think it was always a gov't affair, in other words we paid him. Sick, really. Putin or the Saudis will have to ante up this time. I don't think a private bank will touch him if in fact it comes to that.
In the past he's been bailed out by the banks that loaned him the money. Those banks wanted to keep him afloat because they stood to lose too much if they cut ties with him.
He could probably get Jared’s $2b fund to write checks for all of it, including the NY mess to the tune of 300m$ or more.

He's gonna have to come up with some serious cash while he's making his decision. No doubt whoever takes the plunge on his behalf is gonna ask to be paid in advance, that is if they have some semblance of a brain. I'd do it if I could just to take the money.
