The End of the Donald Trump candidacy.

On MSNBC last night (on All In) there was a report that Eric Trump is negotiating now to buy/set up a Trump network. This way Trumpy can continue to profit from his run, no matter what the outcome in 20 days. So now the sick molten core of his yahoos can sit in their own Trumpista echo chamber -- it'll have more bats and cobwebs than Fox.
Nobody is expecting T to concede if he loses on 11/8. I think it will be a hoot if the media coax out someone else to do it for him -- Priebus (sp.?) or Pence, although I don't think Pence will be free of the Trumpster's grip. Another new low in our politics, if we have a loser who actually won't agree that a legitimate transfer of power has occurred by popular election. This man and all his enablers is toxic. He should self-deport.

That data suggest that foot traffic to Trump-affiliated properties has been falling for the past year, and it got worse for Trump in the past six months.

In July, for example, foot traffic was down 14% on an annual basis. In June, it was down 17% year-over-year. Summer is the peak season for the kind of casinos and resorts that bear the Trump name.

According to Foursquare, businesses that have been hardest hit by a drop in foot traffic include some of the best-known Trump properties: Trump SoHo, the Trump Tower in Chicago, and the Trump-branded Taj Mahal in Atlantic City — which just announced it will close in September.

This data suggest Trump's supporters might not be the same people who want to spend money on a nice hotel room or casino getaway. Foursquare's blog post said Trump's "hotels, casinos, and golf courses are mainly located in reliably 'blue' Democratic states, and depend highly on guests and visitors who live in the region." The post also said:

"Breaking out Blue States, the loss in foot traffic runs deeper than the national average. For the past five months, Trump's blue state properties  —  spread between New York, New Jersey, Illinois, and Hawaii  —  have taken a real dip, with diminishing visits starting in March and a widening gap that continues straight through July, when share fell 20% versus July 2015."

Foursquare also suggests that much of the drop-off can be attributed to women. "In July, visit share among women to Blue State properties was down 29%," according to the blog post.

No. Because there's no incitement for him to do it. But he will still be able to do a lot of damage, with idiotic populistic laws.

When he loses, he will be in no position to influence, much less make, laws. Not even idiotic and populist ones.

True. But my point is that he's already rich. He's got very little to win or lose by being president. If he would do something like that he would lose all that and go to jail.

I was just wondering if some of Douchbag von F[censored]face's "baskets of deplorables" would take his rhetoric seriously about a "rigged election" and try a coup de ta or Reichstag Fire...

Probably; but would anyone notice?

I can't see any such attempt being any more effective than the occupation of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge, and we all remember how wonderfully effective that was.

Despite their apparently devoutly held opinion to the contrary, having lots of guns and ammo does not automatically make a group any better organised, nor any smarter. There is a huge difference between an infantry company and a hundred-strong 'militia' of second amendment worshippers; and that difference is nothing to do with firepower, and everything to do with discipline, leadership and organisation.
