Will Trump finally be indicted in Georgia?

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

The only Election Interference that took place in Fulton County, Georgia, was done by those that Rigged and Stole the Election, not by me, who simply complained that the Election was Rigged and Stolen. We have Massive and Conclusive Proof, if the Grand Jury would like to see it. Unfortunately, the publicity seeking D.A. isn't interested in Justice, or this evidence. Also, as in Manhattan, the corrupt DOJ is pushing hard trying to keep Biden in Office. The whole system is dishonest and broken!

We have Massive and Conclusive Proof,
... but we are keeping it secret from the 60-something court cases we have lost because...

How can ANYONE still believe anything this lying sack of shit says? (/rhetorical)

... but we are keeping it secret from the 60-something court cases we have lost because...
...the courts are completely untrustworthy, and would take the evidence and conceal it from the public.

Trump has no trust whatsoever in the court system and their contemptible bias against him.

He holds the judiciary in contempt.

He is, to be accurate, in contempt of court.

So just add another six months to his sentence. For each tweet. ;)

Oh baloney. He knows he is guilty as fuck.
He holds the judiciary in contempt.
He is in terror of the judiciary. Or, more specifically, jail.
He is, to be accurate, in contempt of court.
Never more literally and legally true.
So just add another six months to his sentence. For each tweet. ;)
Another day on the road crew? :)

The county court in Georgia where Donald Trump is expected to be charged this week briefly posted and then quickly removed a document on Monday detailing several charges against the former president over his alleged election interference in the state in 2020.

The Fulton County document, first reported by Reuters, includes Trump’s name and lists the case status as “open.” It’s dated Aug. 14, and timed-stamped 12:39 p.m. The document lists 12 felony counts and one serious felony count for violating Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations, or RICO, Act. According to Reuters, charges have not been filed against Trump.

The county court clerk’s office did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment about the document.

Yes, this: Georgia court website publishes, then takes down, list of criminal charges against Trump | AP News
A Fulton County grand jury began hearing from more witnesses Monday. Shortly after 12 p.m., Reuters reported on a list of several criminal charges to be brought against Trump, including state racketeering counts, conspiracy to commit false statements and solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer.
Trump's response?
Trump’s campaign aimed to fundraise off of it, sending out an email with the since-deleted document embedded.

“The Grand Jury testimony has not even FINISHED – but it’s clear the District Attorney has already decided how this case will end,” Trump wrote in the email, which included links to give money to his campaign. “They are trying to rob me of my right to due process. This is an absolute DISGRACE.”

Trump’s legal team
His usual howls of rage. :D

Georgia voting system: How Fani Willis oversaw the case against Donald Trump | AP News
Just one month after Trump’s infamous January 2021 phone call to suggest Georgia’s secretary of state could overturn his election loss, the Fulton County district attorney announced she was looking into possible illegal “attempts to influence” the results in what has become one of America’s premier political battlegrounds. As she built her case, Willis called a parade of high-profile witnesses before a special grand jury, presiding over an investigation that was so public it seemed she would become the first prosecutor in U.S. history to indict a former president.

She instead looks poised to become the third person to levy criminal charges against Trump, leapfrogged by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith.
Donald Trump has not taken this proceeding very well.
Trump has stepped up his criticism of Willis in advance of the expected charges, calling the 52-year-old Black woman “a young woman, a young racist in Atlanta.”

Willis has long declined to comment on Trump’s insults. But with his campaign running a vicious attack ad last week, she emailed her staff to warn that it included “derogatory and false information” about her and instructed them not to react publicly.

“You may not comment in any way on the ad or any of the negativity that may be expressed against me, your colleagues, this office in coming days, weeks or months,” she wrote. “We have no personal feelings against those we investigate or prosecute and we should not express any. This is business, it will never be personal.”
She seems much more level-headed than him.

The clerk says the document was a fake:

Special Purpose Grand Jury Update

The Office of the Fulton County Clerk of Superior and Magistrate Courts has learned of a fictitious document that has been circulated online and reported by various media outlets related to The Fulton County Special Purpose Grand Jury. While there have been no documents filed today regarding such, all members of the media should be reminded that documents that do not bear an official case number, filing date, and the name of The Clerk of Courts, in concert, are not considered official filings and should not be treated as such. Media members can expect to be notified of any/all filings in real time and will be provided access to filings via equitable communication. As the official custodian of various county records, the Clerk of Courts understands the sensitivity of all court filings, especially those that are at the forefront of the national spotlight and remains committed to operating with an extreme level of efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.

Worst case scenario of the press getting the indictments is three hours, per CNN.

This seems to be a very carefully worded statement on something that was carelessly posted...on the court's website. Presumably by an employee of the court.

Was it a disgruntled employee trying to sink the case by leaking? Was it a gleeful employee trying to celebrate a little early? That's currently up for grabs. Yet as Toni said, we will know more tomorrow. Or this week at the latest. They've been beefing up security in ATL around the courthouse.

Apparently, the Georgia grand jury has indicted Trump along with a lot of other Republicans. There are ten indictments. No word yet on specifics, but see this link for updates:

Trump indictment live updates: Georgia grand jury indicts former president in 2020 election probe

Next up. 6 months pre-trial detention at Florence ADX for witness intimidation.

His body guards will just have to suck it up.

Jebus, that is a heavy indictment. Trump is fucked. He can play the Federal court card at least regarding some aspects of electoral college fraud, but he doesn't have that potential veil of protection in a state court. They make-a the rules and the Constitution doesn't protect him at all. So I'd say, next to the DC trial, this is his biggest risk of conviction. Well him, and a lot of other people who'll likely be making plea deals unless an insurrection is being planned.

Why... because Ivanka won't be there?

...

Ooooohhhhhhhhh.... I get what you meant. Never mind.

Nineteen of these assclowns.
I suspect many will start singing soon enough. For some, it won't be a viable option.
Just maybe five of them sweating in the courtroom.
Maybe Rudy drops dead live on television.

The Assclown in Chief will try to get the whole thing moved to federal court so he or one of his suckers can dismiss it.
