Split Biden or Trump too old?

To notify a split thread.
That is generally a good sign.
Sure. Sure.
You're new here so it can be forgiven. But blowing off a point is usually done by right-wingers here with "Sure, Jan."
They also need to reference "Brandon" more.
Or Potato. That’s a good name for our dementia ridden President.
If that’s what dementia looks like, I’ll take a double dose. And I definitely want to see Biden debate Drooling Donny.

Let’s wait and see if Swizzle and deplorableinfidel retract their deplorable accusation that Biden is suffering with dementia. How long do you think we’ll have to wait?

Dementia Don can’t debate. There is ZERO chance. He cannot control his mouth. His logorrhea cost him the election last time, and his handlers aren’t about to let him fuck it up the same way this time. He definitely doesn’t want Joe to have to tell him to shut up again. So forget debates. All dementia Don can do is rant. He doesn’t even know who he’s running against, and in any event, fair play and level playing fields send the coward running.

Trump doesn't need to debate. He was slaughtered by Clinton, but it didn't matter. The debates didn't win anyone the election. Turnout did. And turnout included campaigning heavier in the Wall states. Heck, has anyone won an election in a debate since maybe HW Bush? W and Trump won in spite of their debate performances. And they haven't been actual debates anyway in decades.

They'll say he's Chinese and therefore ineligible for the Presidency. (Joe is starting to look like Lon Chaney as Grandfather Wu...)

I expect QAnon to peddle the theory that the Biden people saw last night wasn’t really him, but a body double, or an AI holographic projection, or some shit like that, while the real Biden was in a rubber room in a strait jacket drooling over oatmeal fed to him by a handler. And, if they peddle that theory, millions of people will buy right into it, include Swizzle and Deplorableinfidel.

So all Biden supporters ARE in a cult. I thought so.
Because you can't find any examples of us criticizing Biden anywhere, like a lot of threads on this very site.

Obama.
Not that he “convinced” anyone, he simply out-spoke McCain. Better policies and better oration carried the election.

Yeah what a great example! Like little hermit crabs, the Trump Cult Faithful carry their little media bubble houses with them, and hide in it when threatened by stuff like FACTS.
(like anyone who criticizes Biden ‘cept trumpsuckers).
I’ve made plenty of criticism s of Sleepy Joe, but nary a peep out of the bleevers Swiz & Dep regarding diaper don’s dementia, criminality, stupidity, anti-democratic tendencies or his overweening narcissism.

I'd love to see Trump debate Biden, but with a high school teacher as adjudicator. With infantile rules like everytime you interrupt or insult your opponent, your mike gets cut and your opponent gets five minutes of your time to say whatever they want.

McCain was never winning in 2008. 2006 was the beginning of the end of that GOP run.

Pretty much this.
In 2008, the Republicans had so trashed everything from foreign policy to the economy to the federal deficit, that a black kid from Chicago could waltz in and take the White House.

It left the GOP in such a mess that some billionaires could invent a "grassroots" party and take over the GOP like a hostile corporate takeover.
Tom

Or W's classic.
George W. Bush said:
This frightens some in Washington because they want the federal government controlling Social Security, like it's some kind of federal program.
The GOP base picked this guy over McCain! Well, the racist south base did after the Karl Rove push poll.

Fuck! Remember when Karl Rove used to be the watermark for evil in the GOP? And Orrin Hatch for ultra-conservative?

As a geriatrician, I discuss the effects of aging with patients every day. I wish I had a chance to give my usual talk to everyone who chortles or tears their hair out about President Biden’s fitness for his job.

First, memory. I explain to patients that there are three components to consider. One is formation. Then storage. And finally, recall. The most common issue among seniors is slow recall. This is the familiar “tip of the tongue” phenomenon, when a word seems to hide or a name won’t come to mind. You know the name, it’s in your bank of memories, it just can’t be accessed quickly. Given time, it usually arrives.

This problem, called age-associated memory impairment, often starts for people in their 30s and gradually progresses. It’s a nuisance but not disabling. If, like me, you find yourself using the term “whatchamacallit,” you probably have it. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine.
Actuarial tables show that the 81-year-old president’s life expectancy extends nearly eight years, well beyond a second term. He gets excellent healthcare, has no major chronic illnesses, and at his recent physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center, he was declared “healthy, active" and “fit for duty.” All that means that Biden is likely to beat the actuarial estimate. Given his overall health and the absence of current cognitive impairment, he would likely complete a second term with stable cognition.

Much more in the link.

After the lecture, when my students have all gone home and I'm sitting alone in my office. That's when I suddenly shout "ERVING!! It was ERVING Goffman, goddamit!"
