Split Biden or Trump too old?

To notify a split thread.
That is generally a good sign.
Sure. Sure.
You're new here so it can be forgiven. But blowing off a point is usually done by right-wingers here with "Sure, Jan."
They also need to reference "Brandon" more.
And eye rolls. Gotta have the eye rolls.
And you know what else we need? More lame-ass self congratulations from liberals to each other. It would be like the Oscars.

Or Potato. That’s a good name for our dementia ridden President.
Or “Obama” as Trump sometimes calls him.

Like how Dems primaried Sinema for daring to go against Fearless Leader's inflationary $3,500,000,000,000.00 non-infrastructure spending plan?

She was primaried for a lot more than your obsessive hobbyhorse.
Her refusing to go along with the Biden Bernie agenda on spending was the biggest issue though.

And it's not my "hobby horse" - it was a major political issue at the time.

It’s not now, so your focus on it is because…..? I ask because you appear to think it provides evidence that thise who “ primaried” her are cultists, and one disagreement is mit evidence at all of that conclusion.

Because there is a fallout of it in the 2024 elections.

It is yet another case of a moderate member of Congress being replaced by a more radical one, which is a bad thing for the country.
In Arizona the choice is between Gallego and Lake. And if Lake wins, primarying Sinema would be to blame.

I'd agree that liberal reaction to Sinema wasn't construction. I am, however, uncertain whether Sinema was a good fit for the Democrats. I also wouldn't say she was a moderate. I honestly have no idea what she supports. I can at least say I can identify Manchin's positions. All Sinema seemed to do was thumbs up or thumbs down. Her communication was just poor. She felt no need to explain what was going on to her own constituents.

Arizona will be close. But Sinema wasn't a shoe-in for reelection either. Dropped liberal support wouldn't help.

Radical? Can we please use adjectives like they actually matter.

Lake is going to have a hard time winning. She lost to Hobbs already. It isn't like Lake has much other than "TRUMP!!!!" as a platform. If Gallego faced a a conventional (or what used to be conventional) Republican, I'd put money on the Republican. Lake is a very weak candidate.

Trump has previously made gaffes and mistakenly used the wrong names for people when giving speeches.

During an October 2022 deposition in the case that found Trump liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll, Trump mistook a picture of Carroll for his ex-wife Marla Maples.

"That’s Marla," Trump said, pointing to a picture of Carroll. "That’s my wife."

In January, Trump was trying to refer to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., but called her Nikki Haley, his Republican presidential primary opponent.

Trump has also mistakenly said he defeated President Barack Obama in an election and that Biden would lead the U.S. into World War II.

Anyone who says, after last night, that Biden has dementia, is simply deliberately telling an untruth, or is him or herself demented.
The speech was fantastic, and it was amusing to watch the expressions on the speakers face as Biden spoke. One of the things that I've always liked about Biden is his ability to laugh at himself and admit it when he makes a mistake. Compared to most politicians, Biden is a good man, who actually cares about the people he serves. Just because he's not perfect and just because one doesn't agree with him on all of his policies is no reason not to vote for him, especially in the coming election where he up against a psychopathic narcissist.

I just watched Biden's State of the Union address.
WOW!

Do I hope I am still so articulate when I am 81 years old?
I wish I were so articulate when I was 61 years old!

You might have some credibility if you could acknowledge Biden’s dementia. Instead, all you do is claim (without support) that “oh no: it’s Trump that ‘shows signs’ of dementia.”

Very hack like post you offered in that regard.
We won't acknowledge what we do not believe to exist. Biden sometimes mixes up words, we all do and we do more of it as we age. That is not dementia. Our bodies are such a kludge that it's amazing they work at all. The mapping between concept and word isn't completely bulletproof (and also represents your experiences. Chinese people are notorious for mixing up gender--because almost all words in Chinese don't have gender in the first place. They have one mental concept where we have two. We do the same thing in languages that use modifiers we do not.)
Your choice of what to believe is convenient.

But that’s all it is. A convenient choice.

When Biden just took his physical, how’d he do on the cognitive function portion?

Oh wait. That’s right. He wasn’t asked to even take one.

One thing that is absolutely crystal-clear is that neither @DeplorableInfidel nor @TSwizzle has watched Biden's address nor does either of them have access to any authentic news. Cognitive deficiency is a major threat to American democracy, so I hope DeplorableInfidel and TSwizzle stick around. Reviewing their remarks may teach us much about this threat.
