But hey, not our candidate. Our candidate will be as correct as an Oberlin College lunch menu or nothing.
And “charismatic”? Who are you talking about? To be classed as charismatic, one would need to win more people over from one election cycle to the next not lose them. Isn’t that suppose to be the happy outcome of possessing charisma? Or did it autocorrect “cantankerous”?

I mean, that's a pretty dumb criteria. Obama, who is anything if not charismatic, won less people from 2008 to 2012. And comparing Sander's raw numbers when he was in a 2 person race compared to the clown car of the current primary isn't exactly a good way to determine charisma.


But I actually agree with you, I don't think Sanders was particularly charismatic. I think the issues he championed were popular.

I think your comparison is less than fair. In '12, Obama was like the hot chick we already bagged, if I may be so crude, so it could be expected to see his numbers drop. Bernie's championed issues were dreams we had yet to realize so the attraction should have carried to the next election cycle.

If you're not an upper or middle class white guy, voting for anyone in the American political system is usually a direct violation of self-interest. Ultimately, you will not be who they work for.

Not to pick on Politesse, but this is a big difference between republicans and democrats. Biden made a mistake. He apologized. Holy shit. Trump says something outrageous every fucking day! And most of the time he's offending his own voters - and they look past it. I never thought that he'd get past mocking John McCain, and he did. Republicans rally around their guy, no matter what. He mocks women and says the most outrageous things about them that I've ever seen. And yet women vote for him. He's said outrageous things about Mexicans - a lot of them vote for him.

Biden is not a perfect politician. We should hold him to a high degree. But we've got to come together to beat Trump.
