I guess you have a low opinion of the jury selection process and other people in general.

It's people in general.

I live in a place where people regularly lynched other people because they felt it was needed.
Tom

Do people in general lynch other people?

Yes.

Less than they used to do, but still yes. Sometimes.

Mob justice is still a thing. A big thing. And it's obvious in cases like this. The mob trying to lynch Chauvin are just as confident of themselves as the mobs of the past.

I grew up with that shit. It was in the air. I had to work hard to get past it. But now I'm seeing it again.
Different boss, same day.
Tom

Too bad Chauvin is alive which dispels this lynch mob riff you have going.

There is no doubt regarding whether he was there and committed an act that led to a death.

The question is how much does the victim get blamed for his own death.

I am sorry that you had such a tough childhood seeing the people get mad at white murderers who beat their charges every time. I can see why this brought back very traumatic experiences for you watching the objective rational crowd tell Chauvin to stop murdering someone. And I can see why now this severe PTSD made you call the guy who got murdered "violently belligerent." We should all just let you say whatever you want now, regardless of logic, because your perspective needs to not only be the central point of this thread, but it also needs to be loud enough to continue to be the American normal.

I understand filing multiple charges in such cases but I’m not sure why/how one can be found culpable 3 times in the same death.

Don’t get me wrong: I’m glad they found him guilty. I just am not sure I understand the particulars of being found guilty of multiple counts of murder of the same individual.

Doesn't that get cleared up in sentencing?

I wondered about that too.

I didn't know I would cry. Wow. I'm really glad I got to watch him handcuffed and led out in real time. What a feeling of relief.

Because each charge was satisfied. Every law that is satisfied as broken gets applied.

That said, sentencing will also reflect the singularity of the act.

I was thinking likewise. Though I presume he gets found guilty of them, but sentenced for the worst of them.

How much does the dead person get blamed for their own death is kinda the question here. Does a person have any responsibility for the results of poor, disastrously poor, choices over years? Floyd did that.

Or does a few minutes of viral video matter?

I don't even care much anymore. Minneapolis will decide and live with the outcomes.

Still arguing your pitiful case.
